A tag has been placed on Draft:Oluwafemi Ogunsanya, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. October 2020[edit]

Information icon

Hello Davdotfam. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Davdotfam. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Davdotfam|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Usedtobecool ☎️ 15:45, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Davdotfam, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Usedtobecool ☎️ 15:46, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem icon Your edit to Bukonla Adebakin has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. A tag has been placed on Tomike Adeoye requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Tomike Alayande moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Tomike Alayande, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Nupamjo (talk) 05:52, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Citations are being added and you can check the links to verify them. kindly verify before you move it next time. Cheers Davdotfam (talk) 05:55, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'm waiting as it needs to be completed perfectly. Davdotfam (talk) 06:11, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tomike Adeoye[edit]

An article you recently created, Tomike Adeoye, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?)

The text is marginally less promotional than the draft you abandoned after submitting it (Draft:Tomike Alayande) but it is still very promotional and few (if any) of the sources are acceptable for a Wikipedia article. I've moved your draft to Draft:Tomike Adeoye; please work on this or the first draft, but do not create another copy in mainspace, please. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page, but don't move it to mainspace yourself. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 16:55, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you know it is not suitable, why not give feedbacks on how to improve it instead of moving it? you people will just be beahving irrational. A new page, why can't you confirm if the citations are from reliable and independent sources. Davdotfam (talk) 16:58, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You received feedback: the article needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. The rational thing to do would have been to nominate it for deletion, but that takes a lot of time and effort from your fellow volunteers, so I decided to give you another chance to work on the article in draft space. And now you have received even more feedback on the draft (below). Happy editing! --bonadea contributions talk 17:18, 9 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

But there is no content in the draft about this? Theroadislong (talk) 10:28, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There is, I just added two more now to it. Kindly let me know if I can send for approval again. Thanks for your review Davdotfam (talk) 11:03, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It does, and that's why I added the links to some of the movies she has been featured and if you checked the wikipedia page with the link below; you will see it there, she was Tania. for the Television host, she was the host for Ynaija Future awards which I indicated in the reference number 2 where she unveilled the nominees, I have added it below as well. And from the independent source below, you will see it was mentioned that she is an actress and Television host. Let me know any adjustments and if I can resubmit now.

the draft does not explain how she is a television host and actress? Theroadislong (talk) 11:55, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
It does, that's whatI explained earlier now, I can't use wikipedia as reference and in the links with the references, it was stated there and wikipedia confirmed it. I have added the links that explained it to the draft. Kindly check, looking forward to your response. Thank you. Davdotfam (talk) 12:13, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Having an unsourced mention in another Wikipedia article is useless. You will need to suggest how she passes WP:NACTOR.. Theroadislong (talk) 12:33, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I don't think there is another way to prove that for now, can I just live it as Nigerian Media personality and Television host? I will remove the actor now and can I submit for approval now? I await your response for further actions, thank you for the review. Davdotfam (talk) 13:27, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
