Life-jacket, lifejacket, really?[edit]

David, when you reverted my little correction, your edit summary was simply lifejacket or life-jacket is correct. Though I'm not passionate about this article, nor about alternate spellings for what the AHD calls life jacket,I would be curious to know on what source you base that assertion. I've only seen lifejacket on Wikipedia, and life-jacket looks a bit antique to me, maybe the way someone would have written it when the term first appeared. Interesting note: I just checked my hard copy of the OED, and the term doesn't appear there at all. Eric ^talk 22:55, 15 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I cannot remember the basis for my assertion.
