23:13:35, 13 April 2017 review of submission by MarkBarton[edit]

Thanks for the feedback! I've added a number of new references.

20:45:40, 10 May 2017 review of submission by JillBeauchesneAlban[edit]

Hi! Thank you for reviewing my article draft and providing feedback. I am hoping for additional help, thank you in advance. I have read the rules pertaining to secondary sources and feel I have done a good job of using secondary sources in this article, including:

- the research paper (footnote #2) from: Baptiste, Donna. "Design Your Life: An Evaluation of Participants' Experiences and Perspectives". - references to noteworthy outlets, venues, and institutions where she has taught and contributed including references to A&E television special, Dr. Oz TV special, to a federal agency, to several universities, etc.

I have the following references to add in a hope to improve the notability:

- an article from Success Magazine naming her book #2 in self help for April: http://www.success.com/article/our-favorite-personal-development-books-april-2017 - a link to the Jenny McCarthy Show on SiriusXM on which Lauren appeared as guest in April - links to 10+ podcasts on which Lauren appeared as a guest Jan-April - link to blog written by Dr. Mark Hyman about Lauren and the effectiveness of her coaching method

Will these additions help the notability? Thank you in advance. Jill Jill Beauchesne Alban 20:45, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

Hi DavidWestT, please have a Second look at the links attached to the article. Not only that they are on major (German) websites, they are also sorely about the device. Therefore, I think your definition of notability in this case is wrong. The chancellor of Germany has introduced the device – you simply can't get more attention! Probably you should re-check this! Best Myjnanne

Wikipedia requires significant, in-depth coverage of the subject. DavidWestT (talk) 17:17, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I understand your comment and I have to agree. I am not trying to get the bloke elected as Pope or anything :) so, as far as I am concerned, the article can be deleted... Thank you J.JoãoMM (talk) 21:44, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. Thank you for the review. I would like to know how the article I created is lacking any sort of substantial notability? The entire article includes various 3rd party references of the topics notability. I have read all the guidelines for what is considered notability, etc. and it seems that I am still being rejected. I am requesting a more in depth response to why I continue to get rejected, after following the specific guidelines. Thank you in advance.

PhantomRaviolis (talk) 02:20, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Right. Those sources need to be "reliable sources", showing clear, independent editorial oversight. As Twitter and various reviews and first hand interviews lack editorial oversight, these are not reliable sources. Lacking reliable sources, we don't have notability.DavidWestT (talk) 02:28, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Twitter may not considered reliable, that makes sense but what about the sources the interviews are on? Complex, GQ Magazine, OkayPlayer and Genius? All which are major sites. Aside from those sources, there are 3rd party sources that I would think, are in fact, reliable such as, Okayplayer and Genius, in terms of articles written by the subject in question. Thank you again.

Rishi Shori has been named in a national newspaper as one of only 36 black, asian and minority ethnic (BAME) people in a list, which names the UK's 1000 most powerful people. I believe this should meet the threshold for being a notable person.

Hi,

I am trying to find credible sources online but most of the ones I have are from newspaper articles or magazines. Would those be accepted?

11:35:26, 29 October 2017 review of submission by Raghery1200[edit]

Has there been any re-consideration of my article?

11:39:53, 2 November 2017 review of submission by Pagkaingpinoytv[edit]

Hello David,

May I know what is required for you to approve Rama Dee? I have verified the sources and they are all legit. The article itself is complete and informative as well.

Could you please tell me exactly what you need to be added. There is no other information which can be discuss about the subject. I think precise is better than having a long article that is not significant for the readers.

Let me know or you can suggest exactly or write yourself what needs to be added in the entry.

Thank You & Best Regards!

03:37:07, 3 November 2017 review of submission by Pagkaingpinoytv[edit]

Rama Dee is an artist from Tanzania which is a third would country with limited access to the internet. There is incredibly inconsistent power so access to the internet is mostly accessed on smart phones. As a consequence there are no searchable billboards as even the main radio stations don't have charts on their websites (except for East Africa Radio which covers 4 countries). Currently most entertainment news is done through a couple of blogs and social media.

Tanzanian Music awards (Also known as Kilimanjaro Music Awards) do not have an official website, The are the only national awards ceremony which is held nationally in partnership with the National Arts Council of Tanzania. The most reliable reference of the Nominees and Winners is on Wikipedia itself.

Rama Dee has been Nominated on to occasions (2013 and 2014) and won Best RnB Track 2013.

Outside of wikipedia the only reputable link to this is http://www.worldheritage.org/article/WHEBN0025007208/Tanzania%20Music%20Awards.

Radio charts are now starting to become available, but are very hard to reference as they are mostly copied and pasted from printed documents. For example http://www.tanzaniatoday.co.tz/news/magic-fm-bamiza-top-20-chart, where You can see Rama Dee is No. 6 on Oct 14 2017. This is not really a page that is sufficient as a 'reliable source' for wikipedia, but it is the only form of documentation that exists. The artists themselves are given updates on how they are tracking on the radio charts mainly through twitter where a radio DJ/Announcer will send them a tweet on where they are on the charts. A picture attached from the radio presenter from EFM Tanzania which says he is in the Top 15 at No. 4 in September at some time. Unfortunately, once again, nothing that can be used for wikipedia purposes.

New Page Reviewer Flag[edit]

Hi, DavidWestT.
I've noticed that you are an AfC reviewer but don't yet have the New Page Reviewer flag. Would you please consider heading over to PERM and requesting it? (check the flag requirements HERE)
As part of a larger plan to increase cooperation between New Page Patrol and Articles for creation, we are trying to get as many of the active AfC reviewers as possible under the NPR user flag (per this discussion). Unlike the AfC request list, the NPR flag carries no obligation to review new articles, so I'm not asking you to help out at New Page Patrol if you don't want to, just to request the flag.
Of course, if it is something you would be interested in, you can have a look at the NPP tutorial. Please mention that you are an active AfC reviewer in your application.
Cheers and thanks for helping out at AfC, — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 06:19, 11 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thanks for your note. I'm reviewing NPP/NPR now.DavidWestT (talk) 18:01, 3 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

John Fischer article rejection AND Richard Coons photo rejection[edit]

Greetings DavidWestT:

Am a relatively new user. Apologies for the delay in responding.

JOHN FISCHER, MOUNTAINEER and GUIDE The page I submitted on John Fischer, the Sierra Nevada Mountaineer was rejected, apparently because of a lack of references. Exactly how many references must be cited? This is the page I am referencing: <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:John_Fischer> I do note that there are references that must be deleted, but when I go back into the article to edit, the references are invisible. When I click on: <https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:John_Fischer&action=edit&section=4> to add better references and delete poor references, there are no references.

RICHARD COONS IMAGE Also, have been trying to upload a photograph of Richard Coons' original artwork, also rejected. I own all of the reproduction rights to his artwork and was going to share an image with Wikipedia.

Disambiguation link notification for June 5[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Scooter Braun, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Eden (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello! Please, review my article about the mentioned Hungarian singer, because it contains relevant informations, it has reliable sources, and going forward with the country's national selection process, the article will develop a lot, and thus I think it has to be in the main topic, not in draft-space. I found a lot more articles with less text in it, and no attached photos, so I think you should change your mind about the decision. Thanks in advance.
