Welcome[edit]

Hello Davidrust and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad you've chosen to join us. This is a great project with lots of dedicated people, which might seem intimidating at times, but don't let anything discourage you. Be bold!, explore, and contribute. Try to be civil by following simple guidelines and signing your talk comments with ~~~~ but never forget that one of our central tenets is to ignore all rules.

Float around until you find something that tickles your fancy. One easy way to do this is to hit the random page button in the navigation bar to the left. Additionally, the Community Portal offers a more structured way to become acquainted with the many great committees and groups that focus on specific tasks. My personal favorite stomping grounds are Wikipedia:Translation into English as well as the cleanup, welcoming, and counter-vandalism committees. Orphaned non-free media (File:LOGINREGIONAL.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:LOGINREGIONAL.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. LOGINREGIONAL[edit]

Generally, an article about a website must meet the criteria at WP:WEB or else someone will delete it. Drini's not a rogue admin, unfortunately that's just the culture here. Notice that the Gizmodo site has several citations from prominent third-party groups: the Guardian, New York Times, etc. The current Emol article on the Spanish Wikipedia would not meet the WP:WEB criteria and would likely be deleted. ArbCom 2018 election voter message[edit]

Hello, Davidrust. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. If it was not a mistake, your recent edit was vandalism, attempting to change the article 180 degrees in conflict with the sources cited. Please don't do that. And be aware that discretionary sanctions have been placed on that article. Disruptive editing like this on sanctioned articles could easily get you banned from Wikipedia.
