Hello! We don't create lists of websites in the article space here on Wikipedia - we create encyclopedic articles about notable people, places, events, processes, objects, etc. A list of websites may be useful as references for an article, provided that they are reliable sources. A list of websites that functioned as a peer-reviewed web directory like Yahoo would only ever be marked as {{db-empty}}. (aeropagitica) 23:21, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You've been asked not to recreate this article. Please stop. User:Zoe|(talk) 23:53, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

From User:Spunkyy|(User talk:Spunkyy|talk)]] 11.13, 14 Dec 2006 (GMT+10) I'm perplexed as to why you are not allowing me to create a list of official legislation websites. I am a Legislation and Policy Officer with the NSW Department of Corrective Services, part of the Government of New South Wales, Australia. It's part of my task to know where I can find legislation from official sources. There are plenty of Wikipedia entries which are basically lists, and those sites are probably maintained by users who do not have the knowledge that I have from my work.

Please let me finish the wikipedia article, for the sake of people around the world who might find it useful.

After i've added some data to the table, I intend to add further 'encyclopedic' style information. But i've got to start somewhere, you know?

Thankyou. Kind regards, user:Spunkyy, from Sydney, Australia. ps. I'm new to wikipedia (contributing that is; i've been using it ever since its inception).

This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. (aeropagitica) 23:56, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:CSD#Articles, paragraph 3. An article which is only links is not an article. Use Google for that purpose. User:Zoe|(talk) 00:18, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about the wikipedia article 'List of Australian federal legislation'? That's just a list of stuff, no articles there. Anyway, if you don't want the info, i'll just take it elsewhere. So much for my first attempt at contributing; it seems only *certain* people are allowed to contribute to wikipedia, and expert knowledge counts for nought. A peer-reviewed list of external websites is not encyclopedic - did you read the boilerplate text on {{db-empty}}? If there is no encyclopedic content then it will be deleted as an empty article. If this article is work-related then I suggest that you talk to your departmental webmaster in order to obtain a publishing account and some official NSW government web space and publish it there. If you want to know how to contribute effectively to Wikipedia then please read Wikipedia:The perfect article and Wikipedia:Your first article for starters.
Lastly, please sign your comments with four tildes, ~~~, like this. This makes it easier to communicate with other editors. It also helps to sign your comments with your proper user id, because your comments above appear to be from a troll. Regards, (aeropagitica) 00:24, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

whatever. basically you think i'm a troll, and you are exercising your powers. there's no way i can convince you otherwise, so i guess i'll have to look elsewhere. this has been a real eye-opening experience; no wonder so many people hate wikipedia (bloatware and dictatorial editors). (have you never thought that perhaps others will improve on the article once it is complete?), i shall now attempt to sign my comment using the four tildes, here goes...
