I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Hello, the article you created, Cautiva (band), has been deleted because it fails to meet our standards for inclusion. It was deleted primarily for being unambiguous advertising, but also because it was written about a band that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. Sections of it were copyright violations of text available elsewhere. If you have any questions about this, or you do not think it should have been deleted, please do not hesitate to contact me. – B.hoteptalk• 22:09, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Here's the deal. I will restore the band article to your userspace (User:Deemark/Cautiva (band)) – you will then need to remove all traces of any text copied from the official site (this is Wikipedia, not MySpace). Once you have worked on the article, remembering to assert the significance (our guidelines on notability for bands can be found here), it will be reviewed. What would really help is if you were to back up the claims of significance with reliable, verifiable sources (although this is not a requirement to escape speedy deletion, it can still result in someone taking the article to Articles for Deletion for a wider consensus. If it meets our standards and the question of notability is no longer an issue, I will then restore the album articles – these will also be subjected to the same neutrality test. – B.hoteptalk• 08:02, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Deemark. I've gone through and "Wikified" your Cautiva article. Although it is generally good writing, I have a few pointers. Please talk a look at Wikipedia's Manual of style regarding style, especially the use of boldface. In this case, please try to only use boldface once, when emphasizing the title in the first line of text. Using it outside of this area is generally discouraged. Italics are used in song/album titles and also are used to emphasize certain words. Also, please try to find more than MySpace references. This article is going in the right direction, and if you keep it up, it can be moved to the article space soon! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
