Hey, welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your suggestions on Talk:Metabotropic glutamate receptor, I think they're fine and you should go ahead and add them. Good idea about having accessible references, too. You should feel free to make any changes (especially in neuroscience related articles, so few people edit in that area you have a lot of freedom, for better or worse). On the other hand, if you're ever unsure, you can't go wrong by asking questions or discussing your ideas first, as you did. You can always ask me on my talk page if you're ever unsure about something. You seem pretty knowledgeable about neuroscience, do you work in the field?
