Lists of notable fighters[edit]

Hello, I see that you've spent some time populating lists of "notable" fighters. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that these lists violate Wikipedia policy, so you may want to see my reasoning here. —LOL T/C 19:45, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

June 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Strikeforce, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you.
You added a number of fighters to the list of notable fighters in Strikeforce. You failed to add sources signifying why they are notable fighters. You can also refer to the Strikeforce article talk page for more information on that list.

Image tagging for File:Holly Holm.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Holly Holm.PNG. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free image File:WAMMAseal.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:WAMMAseal.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions. If you have a question, place a {{helpme}} template, along with your question, beneath this message.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In Shinya Aoki, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Joachim Hansen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:20, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Tony Lopez (fighter), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lac du Flambeau, Wisconsin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Replaceable fair use File:Holly Holm.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Holly Holm.PNG. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 15:17, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:KJ Noons.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:KJ Noons.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 15:18, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

notice[edit]

You are involved in a recently filed request for arbitration. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests#Henderson Knocked out Fedor and, if you wish to do so, enter your statement and any other material you wish to submit to the Arbitration Committee. Additionally, the following resources may be of use—

Thanks, PortlandOregon97217 (talk) 02:46, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I note that you are one of the significant contributors to Fedor Emelianenko, and as such you may be expected to have some understanding of the issues there, and what content is appropriate, and what is not. However, when engaged in an editing dispute with another user it is expected that a user will explain their actions, and enter into discussion. Please read Wikipedia:Edit warring, Help:Edit summary, Wikipedia:Ownership of articles, Wikipedia:Dispute resolution, and Wikipedia:Consensus. I know there's a lot to look at; however, these guidelines and policies are designed to assist us all to edit with the minimum of stress and problems, so they are very useful to be aware of, and it may be worth making a note of them so you can consult them when you need to. It's worth pointing out that editors who frequently revert another user's valid and sourced edits without explanation are liable to be sanctioned, including being blocked. You are engaged in a slow edit war, with your repeated addition of potentially libellous information using a potentially non-reliable source. You have been asked twice before to use the article talk page - please do so. Do NOT ee-add the information - if you do I will consider taking further action.
