A tag has been placed on PlanGuru, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - 2 ... says you, says me 17:21, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on PlanGuru, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of PlanGuru and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. V. Joe (talk) 20:18, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FYI conflict of interest guideline[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. — Athaenara 19:31, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:PlanGuru deletion[edit]

Hi Dennyp22. I deleted PlanGuru because it consisted of blatant advertising, making it eligible for speedy deletion under WP:CSD#G11. Looking through your contributions, I see you have only created 1 article - PlanGuru. Please refrain from creating spam articles - You run the risk of being blocked from editing. -FASTILY (TALK) 22:50, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: PlanGuru[edit]

SAP Strategic Enterprise Management was also Spam/advertising. I strongly recommend you read WP:ADS before you try again. Text such as

A 12/07 survey ( survey link ) found that, despite frustrations with spreadsheets, 85% of small and medium sized companies preparing budgets used spreadsheet software to prepare the budget.

Budgeting and forecasting software products are designed to make the budgeting and forecasting process less time consuming and eliminate the problems associated with spreadsheets, building and repairing formulas and macros. PlanGuru Version 11 is available in 2 editions: PlanGuru Professional and PlanGuru Consultant. Both versions have the following capabilities:

  • Budgeting, forecasting and projecting: Budgets and forecasts can be prepared for up to 5 years. Also budgets and forecasts years 1, 2, and 3 on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Projections start at an interim date and add an unlimited number of companies, budgets and forecasts for any company.
  • Customizing financial statements and reports: Reports are customized. Reports include balance sheet and income statement, statement of cash flows, budget vs. actual reports on both fixed and variable budget methods, ratio reports, assumptions and comments reports, non-financial items report, and a breakeven analysis report.
  • Importing and Exporting Utilities: The software works in conjunction with Excel. Account information, historical balances and actual results can be imported from Excel spreadsheets. Reports can be exported to “pdf” and “doc” files and information can be exported to an Excel spreadsheet.

constitutes advertising. Go ahead and take it up with other admins. You will get the same response. -FASTILY (TALK) 17:59, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
