Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Reference desk

As someone already noted on the reference desk, it is impolite to use text-speak. If you do not have time to completely type out your question, why should anyone take the time to answer? It is also very rude to fail to sign your questions. Just type four tildes (the ~) at the end of your message. If that is too troubling, click the button on the bar of buttons on top of the text box that looks like a signature. When you hover your mouse over it, it will say "Your signature with timestamp". Failing to do these two things simply makes you appear very rude. Since all we have is what you type (or fail to type), we cannot pass judgement based on anything else. Once you get the reputation as a rude user, it will be hard to break. So, I strongly suggest that you try to avoid becoming known as a rude user to begin with. -- kainaw™ 16:17, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
