A tag has been placed on Fashion Buildings, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 22:31, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Futurology School[edit]

An editor has nominated the article Futurology School for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Futurology School. Add four tildes like this ~~~~ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Futurology School during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. AfD nomination of List of cryonicists[edit]

I've nominated List of cryonicists, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that List of cryonicists satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of cryonicists and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of List of cryonicists during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Dave6 07:57, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, the external links you added to the page SAGE KE do not comply with our guidelines for external links. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Dirk Beetstra T C 11:13, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

March 2007[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to SAGE KE. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. P2P Loans may be a new subject, but their notability has not been established; in addition, your article comes across like an ad for the type of loan. --Mhking 02:57, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Jonathan Despres.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jonathan Despres.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot 20:07, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Jonathan_Despres.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jonathan_Despres.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:21, 14 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih (talk) 03:21, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for making death threats. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.
When you have declared PD-self and we have no reasonable doubts, we allow your image to stay, but we cannot just allow a copyright tag without source, so I wrote you. However, your three edits to me are too uncivil.--Jusjih (talk) 01:50, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from personal attacks.[edit]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive comments.
If you continue to make personal attacks on other people as you did at Wikipedia:Miscellany for Deletion, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Midorihana(talk)(contribs) 08:14, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Mind uploading"[edit]

Hi. I would suggest that if you want "Mind uploading" to remain on List of emerging technologies, you should add a suitable (i.e. academic, verifiable and authoritative) reference to support your claim that it is "real research". The Wikipedia page on the subject currently references it only to transhumanism and science fiction. Thanks TheBendster (talk) 22 January 2008, 14:09 (UTC)

August 2008[edit]

Regarding your comments on User talk:Yobmod: Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that continued personal attacks will lead to blocks for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. This is wholly inappropriate and does nothing to add to a collaborative atmosphere need for the encyclopedia. Banjeboi 12:05, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 10:19, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Jonathan Despres requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles – see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Shovon (talk) 11:14, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, JD it looks as if you are doing some self promotion here. When I checked for references I just found a sea of social and free web sites, so it looks as if Wikpedia was joining the free web hosting set to mention the person. I considered userfying the article, but you already have a considerable user page. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:47, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate you asking, as most authors do not attempt to defend their writings, or even worse go and cause damage. What I would encourage you to do is to find some topics that you are an expert on and help to improve them. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:45, 13 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Despres for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. Shovon (talk) 07:55, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Jonano.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Jonano.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Notice

The file File:Jonathandespres.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused personal photo. Out of scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:35, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
