A tag has been placed on Dewi lewis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hey![edit]

Could you please read WP:AUTOBIO and WP:NOTABLE, as I have noticed you created a page about yourself. --Tomtomn00 (talkcontributions) 18:06, 30 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi... more on the article. If you have read the pages linked above, you will see that, though Wikipedia doesn't say you can't write an article about yourself, it is strongly discouraged. (of course, if you are not the Dewi Lewis mentioned, then you can disregard, but, what are the odds? :) ). It is very difficult writing a neutral article about yourself, someone that you are close to, a business that you work for, etc.

The article is started now, I believe that the subject is notable so now other editors can contribute to it. If you have any questions or if I can help in any way, please don't hesitate to let me know. :) Wikipelli Talk 11:10, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More on editing Dewi Lewis[edit]

I notice that you updated the Date of Birth in the article, but it leads me to discuss this a little further. Obviously, if you are the subject of the article, it would seem easy and logical to update information because, well, you KNOW when you were born, right? Unfortunately, you must be very careful about information that you add.

In addition to the fact that you are going to find it difficult to write with a neutral point of view, you must make sure that anything you add to the article is referenced with a reliable 3rd party source. Particularly because this is a biography of a living person. I'd say that you, more than anyone, need to ensure that the information that is added to the article has a 3rd party citation from a reliable source. Please look carefully at the links I've given you. If you add information that is uncited - especially from your account - it will likely be challenged. Again, if you have questions, let me know.
