January 2010[edit]

Please do not add hoaxes to Wikipedia, such as you did in the article Software testing. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please don't disrupt Wikipedia in an attempt to test our ability to detect and remove such material. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thank you. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:33, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In hindsight, this may not be a hoax. It may be original research, in which case:

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Software testing, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you.

Either one or the other. Not both. --Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:40, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
