A common problem

Dear Wikipedist editor, I want to submit to your attention an our common problem: disruptive contributions and edit warring operated by user Derek farn (talk). This latter shows systematically a provoking behaviour and lacking of respect for other people’s work, typical of vandalism. I’ve sent this communication to many people having the same problem in order to organize a collective protest/action request directed to e.g. the Arbitration Committee or Requests for comment/User conduct (this latter procedure requires the participation of at least two users) or to the Wikipedia Community. Contributions to Interaction Design

Hey there Diego, I see you undid my revision removing the Universities with Interaction Design artciles and quoted the five pillars. You may have been right or wrong to do it, honestly I'm not sure. I know some of the changes I have made are rather extreme, but I am rather confused as to why you re-added them. My reasoning for removing them was that they don't seem to provide anything useful to the article. The only time I can think it was useful is when someone is looking for a school to study Interaction Design and that would be much better served by another tool.

As I was saying earlier, I may be completely in the wrong here, but I can't see I good reason for keeping them. If you would mind enlightening me as to there usefulness I would be less confused.

Cleanup after Tog

I don't understand your whole reverts of the material added to the articles. They can be seen as undue weight, but that would call for trimming the text, not removing the references completely. The links your deleted come from a reliable source that is independent with respect to the topics of "Usability testing‎‎" and "Power user", so I don't see the need to find a different source to include the concepts as long as they're given proper weight. Video game behavioral effects/Video Game controversy merger

Hey Diego, looking at merging the two articles above. I see you reverted a previous merger, suggesting not enough material had been merged. I've looked over the two pages, and they appear largely redundant to me. There was one section on theory that I merged over to video game controversy. The other page on video game behavioral effects appears to have more problems with POV. It could be edited for that, but I think the result would simply be redundant with Video Game Controversy. Since you reverted the previous merger you're obviously a stakeholder and I welcome your comments. Note to Deigo

Sir, as an annomoyus contributer, with an extrodonary long backround history, I must point out there are only two people I have ever heard say these words: "Note to self." You and Ted Nelson. I will assure you, that from your ideas, I can see you have earned the same respect and admiration.

I read your comment on modeless cut and paste, and am familuar with UI. The best way to test it is to find the youngest person capabile of understanding the concept, and asking them how it should work, then trying your solution, and seeing the gap. Learning aside, if it is not obivous how it sould work, then as an alternative to instruction, you may move the metaphor closer to what should be obivous, but then that leaves out, with the tiny placement of an idea( like when you put something in the clipboard, its hidden ), you have empowered the user with a breakthrough ( Nominal realism ).

Use italics in the Titles man. And don't use the same same same internal links in the articles (it's overlinking). Like you're doing here ("Resident Evil", "Half-Life 2", "Halo" and "NPC sidekick, NPC sidekick, NPC sidekick" etc.). If you click on these links it's written as Resident Evil and such, so stop being nonconformist/lazy/whatever.--194.145.185.229 (talk) 12:56, 3 January 2012 (UTC)

You mean overlinking as in WP:OVERLINK, the guideline that states "if helpful for readers, links may be repeated in infoboxes, tables, image captions..."?

Thanks for your contribution to the discussion. I had not thought of using that image on cutscene, and it clearly appears to satisfy the NFCC requirements. Therefore, I have withdrawn my nomination for deletion of the image. However, I have opened up a discussion at WP:NFCR#File:Pacman-cutscene.png to discuss whether the image should stay in the power-up article. Your contributions are welcome. The no consensus close

I guess my main issue is that the template being closed as no consensus leaves it open to renomination. It would be simple for someone to nominate it for deletion with canvassing as the concern. SL93 (talk) 00:17, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

What needs to be done to make ARS more effective is to ban assholes that don't bother to search for sources. I can't think of a polite word because they make me angry. I hate searching for a around 5 minutes and showing the nominator plenty of sources that they could have already found easily. SL93 (talk) 00:19, 29 January 2012 (UTC)
