Request reason:

User Garuda28 is knowingly maintaining false information on the page for infantry concerning infantry in branches other than the US Army, or US Marine Corps. I don’t particularly care if I have an account with Wikipedia. I’m too busy to go around checking entries for accuracy, but as a former infantryman in the US Army, and a combat veteran, I find his actions to be offensive. Please, somebody, clean incorrect information off that page, and block the malicious editor from continuing to make changes. I donate to Wikipedia because for the most part, it provide a lot of valuable information. Offensive misleading entries like those maintained by Garuda28 cause me to question if that money is being put to good use however. Dirty11Bravo (talk) 05:15, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I need to also add the fact that I don’t have any other accounts, of at least no active accounts that I know of. I created the dirty11bravo account to address the issues with the page “infantry”. Dirty11Bravo, let's see what happens with Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Mrkoww. Today, there's been a lot of edit warring and disruption from multiple IPs as well as from your (new) account. Discussing the matter in a collegial and substantive way on the article talk page, rather than engaging in chaos on various articles, would have been the right call here. What has happened, is that the false information on the infantry page has been made public to thousands of former and current infantryman on social media. Most if not all of those accounts are probably real.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Dirty11Bravo (talk • contribs)

This topic is highly contentious to those of us that have served in the infantry in combat. By non infantry personnel claiming to be infantry or “just like infantry” they attempt to gain the prestige earned with the infantry lifestyle and mission, without actually earning it. I’m sure you can understand why we want to protect our reputations from these assaults. I’m old and a civilian now, but my oldest son is now an infantryman in the Army, and I have another son getting ready to sign up.
