Thanks For The Revert

Thank you for reverting on August 3 the criminal vandelism of my page. I see that the same IP address used for the original vandelism was used a month later and vandelized my page, again, and a few other people joined in. I am not fluent in the use of Wikipedia procedures, so I would appreciate any suggestions you might have. Pooua 03:06, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

I had gone in to fix something, and when I tried to save it I got a message that there was a "blacklisted link" (http://www.healthadel.com) on the page. (See this list.) Since I couldn't locate the link I had to revert the entire addition. You must have unknowingly put it in there, so it might be easier for you to locate it and take it out. I don't know how it allowed you to save in the first place, but there you go. It wasn't the content that was the problem, it was that silly link. Hope this helps. ... discospinster talk 23:50, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

samual L Jackson page

you said i vandalized the Samual L Jackson Page? all i did was remove some of the bad language someone else put up? how is that vandalism what did i do wrong? UPDATE: I think i realized what happened I went and was editing out the bad words from the previous post and while I was doing that which took about 10 minutes you undid it and then i updated. I am not sure why you considered my post vandalism, unless I missed words. I don't think you should receive a warning though. if you looked at my post you would have seen it cleaned up the language. My guess is you didn't actually look at it. It kinda makes me upset that you would warn me. I feel like i can't do anything about it either which just makes me more frustrated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Datrixzero (talkcontribs) 02:14, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Krisiun

I changed the info on how Krisiun got their name because I've spoken to the band on numerous ocassions both in Brazil and in Texas. Max made it clear that the name comes from the Crisium crater on the Moon. I understand that you want the name to have some dark and demonic roots, but they don't. You shouldn't have erased my edit seeing as you're completely wrong and you're giving out wrong information to the public. You've never spoken to Krisiun about this and it's laughable that you would consider my edit misinformed. It comes straight from the band themselves. You should write to them personally and ask them about their history instead of creating it yourself.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.201.169.230 (talkcontribs)

I do not understand why my changes have been reverted or removed?!?

I provided an article with a neutral POV, with facts backed up by the 50-something resources I listed. This whole things is just crazy, all because I am not some big-time "Wikipedian" or a big-time editor, it does not mean that my work should not be at the very least considered. This goes against everything Wikipedia stands for and what it was created for, the free encyclopedia made by "the people." To not even HAVE my article considered is an OUTRAGE!!! If you want to review it again or check it for the mistakes you have made by removing please do, or I will report this activity and your behavior to your superiors.

[remove excessively long copy-and-paste]

If you now see your mistake and want to tell me to first consult other editors and/or moderators, please dont it will just be a hopeless, futile attempt that will waste my time. To get my point across the Turkish editors will be impossible that are so stubborn.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.174.192.171 (talkcontribs)

Copying and pasting unformatted blocks of text into several articles is the wrong way to add information to Wikipedia. Where did this article come from? There are copyright issues to consider. If you wrote it yourself then there will be a problem with original research. If there is information there that you feel should be there then you need to add it in a way that is consistent with the rest of the article. ... discospinster talk 15:43, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

I got permission from the authors of those articles and they enthusiastically enchouraged me to put there articles up on Wikipedia. I put the various articles together myself, and then I copy and pasted it onto Wikipedia, I don't see no reason for me not to, I am not going to waste my time rewriting the whole thing onto here.

And about your claim or original research, I posted the article up on this discussion board look and tell me if you see ONE error, because there are none, I revised the whole thing for grammatical errors, and historical errors.

First of all why did you put the word '"error free"' in quotes, and second if you don't take my word that I have already recieved permission from the origninal authors and etc., than do you want me to tell them to contact you in order for me to get my article approved.

Seriously.

What is with you and constantly reverting my edits on The Blind God? I'm going to suppose you eventually bothered to check the edit history, since you reverted back to my redirect finally, but why the edit war over a completely superfluous page? I had already asked the admin to delete it, and I was told "No." So I blanked it. Were you do obnoxiously blind as to fail at noticing that the content of the afore-mentioned page was already in the main article of Blade of Tyshalle (and covered better), hence my efforts at removing it? Now, it's a redirect to the main article, yet you go and revert it to the article text only to revert BACK to a redirect a minute later. What the hell is your problem? Gunning for adminship? Howa0082 17:52, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

That doesn't explain or justify you reverting my redirect. Howa0082 18:05, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

See WP:Be Bold I'm not going to sit around waiting for people to reach a concensus will will almost certainly be "yes, this page is crap, toss it". As well, WP:Ignore all rules I know the rules, and I know that ignoring them works pretty damn well most times. This isn't like debating merging Upper Canada with Canada West. This is turning a stub into a redirect to a more informative article that already covers the topic of the stub. Howa0082 18:33, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Patrican Borthers College

Hello i am aware that you believe my post are from a non-neutral point of view which indeed does violate the codes of wikipedia, i cam highly aware of this rule, but can confidently argue that these post are based of fact and hence facts and truth cannont contain biased. this is especially in realtion to Facilities by which a non-biased aproach has been taken. I am sure if u attended the college you would be able to recognise these writing as fact. i am aware that the line "DON’T SEND YOU SONS TO THIS SCHOOL!" are biased and have sinced removed them. due to the reason you do not attend the college i believe you cannot deem what is truth for biased writings and thus please avoid editing the page further,

i am very happy to discuss the matter further. kind regards PBCF —Preceding unsigned comment added by PBCF (talkcontribs) 09:18, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

User scripts, TW, popups, et al.

Hi I noticed you do alot of vandalism reverting with TW and popups. I had been doing it by hand and I am not familiar with those tools. Since you seem to use both can you share with me your basic strategy for using them? How can I get the best of both worlds from each? Thanks. -- Diletante 02:05, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Patrician Brothers College

i would like firstly to re-highlight the fact you do not attend the college and therefore how can you deem what is truth for biased writings. Therefore to continually remove editing to a page is rude and obnoxious. and thus please avoid editing the page further as your views are based on superstition and miss placed beliefs. For evidence/sources for the changes in relation to facilities, i would kindly like to ask you to obtain a map of the school which highlight the facts being produced, as i am unable to send anything over wikipedia. Furthermore i would like to highlight the fact as stated on the vandalism page "Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism" thus any changes i have made cannot be deemed vandalism and hence your last comment is highly irrelevant. as for relation to the edit to the section history, evidence may be found within the catholic church values reproduced in the college as stated in the schools rosarian (official document). further evidence may be found within the school bully system or lack of bully system. further evidence if required may also be found within the happenings of the college in relation to art works and various evidents and thus i sincerely ask you to look at each of these documents before making any further edits.

kind regards PBCF, i would also ask in your reply you make the reasons for evident if further changes are made clear with specific quotes and valid reasons not by using your power to block as a means of providing reasoning or miss guided beliefs in relation to the college. similarly i would also like to ask you to provide sources which prove my comments as vandalism or bias, please use your power (hence think if the tables were turned) wisely it is the greatest temptation for evil and dominance and these are unwanted by society. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PBCF (talkcontribs) 11:05, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

Patrician Brothers College

i would like to say i have removed all biased within the additions. if you believe something ot be from a non-neutral point of view please only remove that section not the entirety of text whihc has been added. i would like to refute your comment "It does not matter at all whether I attend the college" as seemingly without this experience you lack the in ability to differenciate fact from fiction. similarly if you believe a point to be from a non-neutral point of view, please provide suffficent evidence to support your claim as i have. you also stated "among others You are not providing reliable sources for your claims, which has also been pointed out to you" however a reliable source is "A reliable source is a published work regarded as trustworthy or authoritative in relation to the subject at hand. Evaluation of reliability will depend on the credibility of the author and the publication, along with consideration of the context." furthermore as history (please refer to jenkins on the situation or any post-modernist historian) you do not have the authority to deem a source non reliable when a clear relation may be associated to the context and information. therefore if you precisely check the occurances of the school as stated in every rosarian published (these are all legal published documents i would like you to note) i am well aware you will find all information to support my claims, and please use these in your deeming of my content as biased.

thanking you PBCF —Preceding unsigned comment added by PBCF (talkcontribs) 05:24, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Why do it if you are not a Holocaust denier and a racist trying to cover up for another Anti-Semite?

Here is the'offending' passage: Tommy Boyd's October 21st show featured a skype call from America who Boyd immediately made the victim of some Anti-Semitic bullying, forcing the caller to defend the Holocaust. Boyd himself insisted that the fact that people had survived Auschwitz meant that there was no Holocaust. He did not let the caller respond to his Anti-Semitic assertions, instead cutting to commercial.

The majority of their edits seem to minor or copyediting in nature, that's a far cry from obvious vandalism. AIV is reserved for people who insert things like "LOLLERCAUST DICKS" into articles, not stuff that'll take me five minutes to figure out. If it's subtle vandalism, report it to WP:ANI, where an admin with time to burn can take a good look at it. By the way, blanking warnings is allowed, and should be interpreted as a sign that the user has read the warning. east.718 at 05:03, November 28, 2007

Accept my references as they are formatted or delete the article

You made a comment on my New York Radical Feminist page that I deleted so as not to be embarrassed as a screw up with my NYRF friends who might read the page. I also did so because the first Wikipedian, Razorflame, who read my article and welcomed me found no fault with it and my research and references.

If you said the article was not Wikipedian because I put references directly in the article but not as footnotes then do delete it. I detest footnotes that no one reads.

Thanks

Now I see what you mean. You really improved my article in a way I did not know how to and did not change my intent for a section as did a previous editor. Still older people who cannot read small print as well as younger ones may have preferred the way I put in references in standard print within parenthesis in the article. That will be the trouble with Wikipedia, older people who have later acquired technical skills will find this all too much and will not share their knowledge.Ldsnh2 03:47, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

New YRF article text size of references

Hi No it's OK. The font size of the footnotes is nearly the same size as the text. Other articles have the text small for footnotes that is hard to read. I just so much prefer references in parentheses within the text rather than have to spend more time searching them out also as to vision thing as an older person with me vision coordination. But this will work for me and my friends.

You will see how I took your really nice foundation and built the article up more. I appreciate it and if I was at all upset it was due to a previous editor who really bothered me with her comments and edit. I know that's the chance we take and my NYRF friends would do what they would with the article, but I did not know of people who just go about commenting and editing articles to pass the time Ldsnh2 23:40, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Vandalism reverts

Greetings and thanks for your prompt revert of vandalism to Bailey bridge. I wish to offer a small suggestion. While too late now in this case, when reverting within a few minutes of the offense I think it is a good idea to issue the following to the user talk page:

re.: [[<article title>]]

{{test1}}

(this is "Thanks for experimenting...), or if minor nonsense edit, also the test2 template, "Please do not add nonsense..."

This in the interest indicating to the experimenter that he/she is being watched. I have noticed that major offenses often are an escalation of a series of small tests.

I see that you perform extensive vandal chasing, and I thank you very much.
