April 2007[edit]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Valley Gardens Middle School. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Welcome[edit]

RE:Advertising[edit]

Dear Djminisite, I don't class this as an advert is it is more of a current or recent event and had added more to the article and section,It also had an online citation, your edit was unconstructive and should be reverted. I acctally did not add it User:Ambirch1 did. You seem to be constantly watching and looking at all of my edits and generally picking on me, why dont you do something Useful (See This) Thanks Djmckee1 - Talk 06:05, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unconstructive Edits[edit]

Dear Djminisite, Please don not make unconstructive edits or delete things from Wikipedia As You Have done To VGMS. Thanks Djmckee1 - Talk 17:21, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Graph & Table on Valley Gardens Middle School[edit]

Dear Djminisite, the graph and table could be read perfectly and were very useful and added significantly to the article. I think they explain the section well; I put much time and effort into creating them. Please Do Not make unconstructive edits, i.e. Removing the graph & table without disscussing this, you have done this many times. I am reverting this however you may want to put a discussion on the talk page about it to see what other Wikipedians think. Happy Editing Djmckee1 - Talk 05:40, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

P.S: You quoted on my talk page "but with improvement they could go back on.", can you please tell me about this possible improvment asap and I shall get it done. Thanks Djmckee1 - Talk 06:21, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Valley Gardens Middle School[edit]

Please don't re-add 8AY as you have done, it has no citation and very little information unlike the part on 7CH. It was removed by Ambirch1 and has now been reverted again. Not too long ago you were complaining to me about this sort of subject; can you now please learn. VGMS is turning sadly into a bit of an edit conflict. Djmckee1 - Talk-Sign 17:34, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awards Subpage[edit]

Dear Djminisite, Shall I fix your awards page? Djmckee1 - Talk-Sign 18:37, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Signature[edit]

Yes I Have Checked This before I made My Signature. I Hear you have had problems with your Signature however if you give me info (i.e. Colour & Font) on my talk page ASAP I should have you one ready tomorrow Djmckee1 - Talk-Sign 19:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Signature[edit]

Another editor on wikipedia made my signature as I still don't know how to make them properly. I'll make sure that I don't make it longer when I do learn. Thanks for telling me about the rule as I wouldn't have found out otherwise. Angel Of Sadness T/C 19:48, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Signature....also[edit]

Well, thanks for liking my signature. Haha. And yea, I wasn't going to make it any longer because it was already kind of long, but I didn't know there was any limit on it. Hmmmmm...maybe I'll change it later to make it shorter. BsroiaadnTalk 23:03, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What was the point of your message exactly? JHMM13(Disc) 04:08, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Signature (also)[edit]

Okay, I won't. It used to be longer as you can see here, but I shortened it to the way it is currently.--  Jลмєs Mลxx™  Msg me  08:08, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Djminisite. I wasn't aware that there was a limit to signature length. I'll make sure that I don't make mine any longer. Cheers, The Hybrid 08:49, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't plan to expand it further. If you are aware of any syntax that can shorten the wikitext further, please let me know.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  17:39, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks -- I can't make it any longer, as you know. (I had to get creative to make it fit under the current limit.) You're the first or second person to comment on the markup length (so far). I'm taking note. See you around! -- But|seriously|folks  08:21, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry myself, then, I didn't realize what you were saying in your last message. But I still believe that Wikipedians can read policy themselves without being referred to it, and can hover over links they're not sure about. --The Raven's Apprentice (PokéNav|Trainer Card) 16:39, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Signature[edit]

Thank you for reminding me of this, but the official policy states that signatures should not be over two to three lines, at the moment, mine only takes up just over two. But, thanks for the warning, and happy editing. - Hairchrm 18:23, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Constructive Criticism[edit]

Hi Djministe! Thank you for your analysis of my user page and signature, but I don't feel you really need to critique the things that I have chosen to personalize. As long as they are within the boundaries and criteria set by WP:SIG and WP:USERPAGE, there is no need for critical commentary. Why not spend your time making more constructive edits to WP, such as cleanup on WP:AfD (one of my favorite places)? Not trying to be WP:JERK here, just wanted to give you a little direction. Tyne and Wear TV[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Tyne and Wear TV, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Alvestrand 20:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sign Posts[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Brierdene, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Djmckee1 - Talk-Sign 09:02, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brierdene Green Fair Use[edit]

I think you have slightly misunderstood- The image of Brierdene Green which I uploaded to Wikipedia for the Brierdene Cricket Club Article. This image was took from Google Earth where images are copyright. If you need an aerial image please use NASA Worldwind where the imaged are Public Domain. Djmckee1 - Talk-Sign 20:25, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, sorry it looked like you were talking about the aerial shot. I would still recommend NASA Worldwind though as you can also look at other planets! Djmckee1 - Talk-Sign 15:11, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

People ganging up to disrupt an article[edit]

Hi,

I found you at Wikipedia:Editor assistance. If you can spare a few minutes of your time helping out at Indo-Aryan loanwords in Tamil, I would be thankful.

I am developing an article on words borrowed by Tamil from Indo-Aryan languages. I am citing a standard authoritative lexicon from which I find the words that are borrowed before including them at Indo-Aryan loanwords in Tamil. There are a few people who seem to be intent in damaging the article by adding "cite" tags, "disputed" and "dubious" tags for the article and threatening to delete it within 24 hours.

Could you please help?

Thanks. Kris (talk) 19:12, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An exciting opportunity to get involved![edit]

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 00:11, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Editor assistance list[edit]

Hello. Since your account has been inactive for some time, it has been removed from Wikipedia:Editor assistance/list. There is an explanation at Wikipedia talk:Editor assistance/list#Problem with inactive accounts on the list. You are, of course, welcome to re-add yourself to the list if you wish to. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Brierdene has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

tagged as uncited in 2007

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Brierdene moved to draftspace[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Brierdene. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and Moving to Draft per WP:Draftify#During new page review as a page with some potential merit but almost bereft of relevantsources. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.  Velella  Velella Talk   15:52, 10 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
