Using ~~~~ when talking with people

OK, you're already familiar with making articles, so we don't need to go over that. You just type the article like you have been doing. When talking with people or asking question, you should put ~~~~ at the end of your messages. If you can't find the ~ on your keyboard, you can copy it from the top of talk pages. When you are writing messages there should be a note at the top of the page that says

"This is a talk page. Please respect the talk page guidelines, and remember to sign your posts by typing four tildes (~~~~).

This adds your name and time and let's people know who is talking and when they talked. You can pratice here by copying this ~~~~ and pasting it to this page and saving it. -      Hydroxonium (talk) 23:44, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Reason your article was deleted

To be fair to User:Kimchi.sg‎, s/he wasn't trying to be mean to you, s/he was trying to protect Wikipedia. Wikipedia gets a lot of people making offensive articles as a joke. Wikipedia also gets articles from companies that are trying to promote themselves, which is against Wikipedia rules. Unfortunately, your article, International Decision Systems, looked like one of those. When a new article is created, people will chack to see if the person that created it has worked anywhere else in WWikipedia. They use that information to determine if the person that created the page is making for a joke or a company. Unfortunately, you looked liked a person from a company. That is why the page got deleted. If you could find something on Wikipedia that interests you, you could work on its article. Just adding a little bit of information to other articles will help you a great deal. It can be a simple as correcting spelling errors or adding a sentence. This will add to your contribution history and will help a lot. You can check your contribution history here special:contributions/Dkordopitoulas. I have asked User:Kimchi.sg to undelete your article and put it in a "safe" place where we can work on it and get it up to Wikipedia standards. Messages about the article I will put on the article's talk page. I will go step by step so you can learn how to find good references and how to build a good article. For right now, we are waiting on the article to be undeleted. If you have any questions, you can ask them here. OK, Kimchi.sg undeleted the page. it is now at Wikipedia:Article Incubator/International Decision Systems, which is a safe place we can work on it. I'll start with the easiest stuff first. We want to look at the article with a critical eye (i.e. look at it the same way a nitpicker would look at it). The article must be written from a neutral point of view, so what we write should be encyclopedic rather than promotional. So we aren't allowed to say "The greatest..." or other similar things. If you could go though the article and rewrite anything you think is non-neutral, that would be great. I will check your updates and offer suggestions. Okay thanks Hydroxonium for your time! I hope you will see the article is written all by me, I read all the articles and wrote it. I am a college graduate and I just wrote it like I would do for any other class. It is not bias, just a article I just wrote about IDS. Nonetheless, thanks again for the information and help! You're welcome. This may be confusing, but the article is in a "safe" place for us to work on it so it doesn't get deleted again. This is a temporary thing. As long as we are fixing the article, it won't get deleted. When we get the article all fixed up it will be moved to a permanent place. Oops, sorry. I didn't explain that very well. Right now we are being very careful and trying to make the article good enough to pass the most difficult test we can think of. That will take a few days and then it will be out of Incubation. A year from now, people will be less critical, and we can add more information without the worry of people trying to delete it because we made a tiny little mistake. Right now we are worried about the tiny little mistakes because people will use that as an excuse to delete it. Hope that makes sense. I also want to say you did a excellent job updating the article. Especially considering this is a really confusing part. Great job. I'll join in and help. Please let me know if you have any questions.
