A barnstar for you![edit]

The Writer's Barnstar
Toronto Argonauts was in pretty sad shape following my quick cleanup of the plagiarism issues a few months ago, but you've done an outstanding job of getting it well on its way to featured article status! TDL (talk) 01:18, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Rochester[edit]

Rochester NY, USA is not the "obvious target" for disambiguation. Rochester, Kent has a rather longer historical claim: 2,000 years compared to less than 200! Not worth a revert, your edit was well intentioned, but please be careful of making US-centric judgements in an international encyclopedia. Phoenix, Arizona[edit]

I reverted the whole edit, because the majority of the changes were either incorrect (tense-wise or logically), or were simple stylistic differences which made no difference to the article as a whole. There one or two of the changes which were valid, but that is only 2 out of 8 or 9. Onel5969 (talk) 04:58, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

regarding the McDonald's story, I thought it was quite relevant, since when you do research on it on the web, you see dozens of incorrect citations showing the first McDonald's in the Midwest someplace. That was the first Franchise AFTER Kroc purchased the name. Only in that case did I think the reference to error was important. Thoughts? Onel5969 (talk) 19:34, 17 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jules Bianchi[edit]

Hi, thanks for taking up my nomination of Bianchi. If you go through my talk page then you will see a wikibreak template. I am giving my exams so I am unable to attend to Wikipedia properly. So, can I ask you for a favour? I would be very much pleased if you can hold this article till the 27th. On that day, my exams will be over and I will return back to the review. Just a humble request. Thanks. RRD13 (talk) 20:11, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Jutta Treviranus Headshot.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jutta Treviranus Headshot.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:50, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
