July 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to the page Serial killer has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Your edit was a copyright violation, as it took text direct from that study with a copy and paste. On top of that, you added your own POV to the end of it (that it was "political correctness" at work), and that framing of the info makes it a violation of WP:UNDUEWEIGHT. The article clearly says that the majority of serial killers is white. The study you referred to/stole text from supports that conclusion. Calling that the "myth of the white serial killer" is pretty bizarre. DreamGuy (talk) 20:47, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I agree completely with DreamGuy. Let me add that we are not trying to be hostile to you. If you read the notices you've received and the link DreamGuy gave you above, you'll find there is a better way to contribute. Shiva (Visnu) 21:20, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Timothy Geithner appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you.I Feel Tired (talk) 22:20, 12 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at Talk:Serial_killer#Anyone_remember_the_conversations_about_Dr._Phil. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. DreamGuy (talk) 14:59, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted edits to Serial killer[edit]

Hello, I removed this recent entry from the article. There is a recent talk page discussion (Racial characteristics – opinions please) regarding inclusion of minority information. The agreement at the time was to not include it. Please join this discussion or create a new one to discuss this info before adding it to the article. Posting the information to the talk page then adding it to the article without waiting for other editors' responses is not considered discussion. momoricks 02:23, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This edit violates two core policies and has been reverted. 1) serialkillercalendar.com is in no way a reliable source. 2) Even if the information was properly sourced, pointing out the race of Watts' victims does not explain why he is a disorganized/asocial killer, therefore it violates the NPOV policy. Please note that disruptive edits such as this may lead to this account being blocked from editing. momoricks 03:12, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Serial killer. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. DreamGuy (talk) 16:13, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by inserting commentary or your personal analysis into an article, as you did to Serial killer, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. momoricks 08:22, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please be civil to others[edit]

Personally attacking other editors, as you did when you called me racist, naive and brainwashed, violates the Wikipedia code of conduct. Please comment on content not editors. momoricks 01:05, 17 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
