Autobiography[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Submitting your draft[edit]

We spoke on IRC channel #wikipedia-en-help but you left the channel before we finished.

Your Draft:Reconciliation Education has not yet been submitted for review and there would be little point in doing so until you have had a chance to make it more clearly resemble an encyclopedia article. I'll try a few suggestions, but it's hard to know which are the most salient.

The subject of your article should be as early as possible in the first sentence. The lead paragraph must place the subject in a category and explain why it is a notable topic in as few words as necessary. For many readers, these leading sentences are going to be all they ever read. There's a little advice in MOS:LEAD, but it takes some practice to put this advice into effect.

As part of neutral point of view, it is very important to avoid stating claims about the aims or goals of your subject as if they are a matter of fact in Wikipedia's voice. I'm talking about stuff like is adaptable to a range of learners and employees in attempts to have them perceive other groups of people more positively and The aim is to close perceived divisions between ‘us’ and ‘them’.

While you've added some additional references, some of those citations need more work to make them useful. When citing a book, we generally expect to see page numbers where the specific fact or claim can be verified. Also, the additional references have been added in a way that perhaps buttresses what you are trying to say, but it's not clear they recognize your subject (since most of them were published before you published anything about your method) - as a result, these additional references are completely unable to support WP:notability. It was this issue of notability I was concerned about when I suggested that you needed some independent references.

I hope this is not too frustrating a message. You've ventured into a realm that has rather different writing standards than what you are probably accustomed to. It's going to take a bit of time to get the hang of it. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 05:46, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
