Notability of Binyamin Katz[edit]

A tag has been placed on Binyamin Katz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking 19:54, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Binyamin Katz[edit]

  • Why was my page about my student deleted. Binyamin Katz had a very hard life and you deletin it has made him sink into a depression. Please consider putting it back up

I deleted the page because it contained statements that appeared to disparage the subject, the quoted sources were dead links and it made no credible assertion of importance. I apologise that you find this upsetting, but I would like to point out that we don't own our contributions to Wikipedia, and perhaps you might like to read our editing policies, especially writing about living people. If you believe I was in error in deleting the page in accordance with our speedy deletion criteria, you are welcome to list it at deletion review, where editors will examine the content of the article and form a consensus as to whether the article should have been deleted or not. I'd note that I get no google hits to any pages which would substantiate the claims you made, and that assertions such as those made within the article require strong sourcing to be permissible. Still, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, welcome, and happy editing. Steve block Talk 22:32, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • but how come you can just come along and delete it?

It was tagged as a potential speedy deletion candidate, and as an administrator on Wikipedia I am entrusted to make decisions as to whether a page should be deleted or not. For the reasons listed above I chose to delete it, and as I state above, you are welcome to list it at deletion review, where editors will examine the content of the article and form a consensus as to whether the article should have been deleted or not. Happy editing. Steve block Talk 23:43, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your attempts to improve Wikipedia. However, I would like to remind you that Wikipedia is not censored for minors, not even for profanity or pornography. Everyone is encouraged to remove offensive material and obscenities that are blatantly vandalism, but please do not remove/censor profanities or remove/disclaim sexually explicit material or links that are relevant to the article. In the meantime, please be bold and continue contributing to Wikipedia. Thank you! Xiner (talk, email) 03:01, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Binyamin katz[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Binyamin katz) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. As a member of the Wikipedia community, I would like to remind you of Wikipedia's neutral-point-of-view policy for editors, which you appear to have violated at Global warming. In the meantime, please be bold and continue contributing to Wikipedia. Xiner (talk, email) 05:58, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Kyoto Protocol. If you continue to do so, it may be considered vandalism. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Xiner (talk, email) 18:17, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop immediately. If you continue to vandalise pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to Prectotransgendophilia, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Xiner (talk, email) 16:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hello Sid Cd cover2006.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Hello Sid Cd cover2006.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:29, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
