Also, my IP address keeps getting blocked because of vandals, my IP address is a public high school's, so I wanted to know if I could be exempt from autoblock.

There is no signing up required, everyone is a volunteer and any work they do removing vandalism is down to them personally, there are no special priveleges or anything like that. If you want to put the userbox on your page you can, but again you don't have to it has no special significance. Regarding blocks at the moment there is no way to exempt anyone from the block of an IP address, so no you can't be exempted in anyway. (There are changes being proposed to allow established editors to not be caught by such blocks but it is unknown if/when those changes will happen) --pgk^(talk) 19:50, 8 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, what you suffered was an autoblock. The admin did not block you, the MediaWiki software blocked your IP becasue a vadal used that IP recently (just coincidence).
