Sounds like a great idea. However, I am afraid I will not be able to offer my services until May. --Incman|वार्ता 13:42, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I liked the way you phrased the sentence, "it was your skeleton that I worked on and tried to give some flesh".

Hannibal[edit]

I removed it from FAC because I thought it was already FA status, and no more work needed to be done. I admit by nominating the Russian city St. Petersburg made me look like a total idiot. The idioticness started when I saw the essay Wikipedia is failing which is pathetic because no matter how hard you shout, you can't make changes, you can only make a small dent. Anyways peace from Alberta, Canada. :) . --Parker007 01:06, 19 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Delhi copyediting[edit]

I've submitted Delhi for copyediting to the League of Copyeditors. If that can be done, and Planemad can get his map done, we can work on New Delhi this weekend for improvement, and FA the following. =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:03, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hoysala architecture[edit]

I understand this is a different topic. It took me several visits to the Hoysala temples (multiple visits in some cases) to fully ingest the meanings of words and technicalities. Now when I read the books on architecture, I understand what I saw and when I see sculptures personally, I understand what I read. On a lighter note, my wife says she will continue to visit temples with me only if I allow the guide to be the guide. (I often end up challenging the guide with what I have read). No bragging there.Dineshkannambadi 13:47, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yo - good to hear from you - sorry didn't reply earlier. You did a great job with New Delhi - also, Dinesh and Venu are doing some amazing work, so I think Indian FAs should definitely cross 100 this year. Plan??[edit]

Do you people (You, Nobleeagle, and others) have any plan for FAC of Indian cricket team? Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:40, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Um, Nobleeagle is the main owner of that page, but I think the main issue is to write a comprehensive history section that shows the evolution properly, then fork most of it to the child article. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to convince FAC reviewers to pass it, but to get a comprehensive history complete with all the politics etc, crowd control etc, might be rather difficult. I'd say that Tintin has the best knowledge to be able to do it however, Nobleeagle's and my knowledge of Indian cricket seems to be heavily 1990s centric. Nichalp is also interested in cricket. If you are looking are looking for FAs there is Wikipedia:Peer review/Dinesh Karthik/archive1, Wikipedia:Peer review/Irfan Pathan/archive1 both of whom are going to the WC and are GAs, buy neither have useful free pictures, and Murali Kartik is GA, but now dropped and has no picture. Harbhajan Singh is still the only one with a free pic - I've got it done up to the end of the Wright era (mid 2005). Hopefully that will be ready for FAC early next week. New Delhi[edit]

I don't think I may be able to get ND up and running this weekend. Was hoping to see Delhi copyedited by this weekend and the map made available. Will have to now wait till that's done. :( =Nichalp «Talk»= 19:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Helping out with the Unassessed Wikipedia Biographies[edit]

Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of unassessed articles tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! --Ozgod 20:30, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quiz links[edit]

Thanks for the Quiz links. I had not ventured into those pages earlier. Thanks also for the fine tuning you are doing for many of the pages. I am now working on adding/ improving biographies of the Tagore family. Earlier, I has kept out, thinking that many others would be working on them because so much reference material is easily available. However, I find that no body is interested in any page other than Rabindranath. Even Dwarkanath and Debendranath are in real bad shape. Le me see what I can do. Once I can do the individual pages I want to get back to Tagore family and polish it up. I am not happy with it. Two other big names need attention - Ashutosh Mukherjee and Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. These are pages that can enrich the portal. Regards -- P.K.Niyogi 07:07, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

India Quiz No. 2[edit]

Do you think it is worth hanging a fact tag in the Vengayil Kunhiraman Nayanar in the section about his friendship with Hermann Gundert. Gundert was in India from 1838 to 1861 while Kesari was born in 1861. It is difficult to imagine that they could have developed a friendship over mails as Hardy and Ramanujan did two generations later. This is apparently the source for this info. Tintin 05:58, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added tag. Thanks. Tintin 08:06, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tintin[edit]

Hi dear, regarding Tintin...there was still a complete 72 page book 'Tintin And The Alph Art' [this book is not incomplete; rather has 10 pages more than an usual Tintin book; though Herge could only complete the first 6 pages of this book], yet to be published (I have the book; if you are interested i'll send you the link) when Tintin was pulled off from Anandamela. So they could have continued for another two years with this story; but being an Anandamela writer, what I have heard as a rumour is that an editorial policy was taken up, that they will publish no more foreign comics; since Kishore Bharati (Editor Tridib Chattopadhyay; famous as being the Kolkata Book Fair Guild-head) had been directly attacking and making fun of Anandamela for a long time in their advertisements about publishing borrowed foreign comics.

And, yes, it is true that after Unish Kuri split apart from Anandamela, the latter became more 'kiddish' in nature. I will mention that.

Good day, and best regards.
