AWB

AWB can sometimes catch that the article is uncategorized by itself if it's set to "Auto tag" (under "Automatic changes" on the "Options" tab), but since it doesn't always tag every article in the list I do a manual override by turning off autotagging and using the "Append/prepend text" function on the "More" tab to add {{Uncategorized|date={{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}}} to the articles in this list. There isn't a setting that will automatically force that particular tag for you. Bearcat (talk) 00:42, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Online Ambassador selection process

Please share you views on the current version of the proposed Online Ambassador selection process, which the steering committee has recommended for adoption by the ambassadors program. Northern Trick

Thanks for helping out with the repeat references, you inspired me to sort out using <ref name=> for myself, which has been baffling me for a long time. I think you might have left the External Links section header as I was going to come back to it but was tired. Actually I meant using "ref name=" rather than referencing as such. I got in tangles the previous times I'd tried using it, so I just found it simpler to repeat the references. But after your "Wooooow" comment I looked again and saw how ludicrous the result looked, so I made the effort to work out where I was going wrong - it took me longer than it should have but I got there in the end. The REFLINKS tool looks useful. The problem is the effort it takes to get an article into adequate shape, so the temptation is to minimise the extra work involved in referencing, even though I know how much more useful a decent reference is. Maybe the reference to REFLINKS will be an inspiration too! Thanks. Opbeith (talk) 10:05, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
When you've finished enjoying your holiday, if you've got a moment would you mind giving a bit of advice on how to use REFLINKS? I just added a paragraph to Cidade Limpa about the impact on the Sao Paulo grafiteiros and tried to use REFLINKS with the Bloomberg reference I wanted to cite. I'm afraid I was rather baffled and ended up having to settle for the bare link.Opbeith (talk) 10:42, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Well - Once you've found an article you'd like to use REFLINKS on, you go here and type in the article's name where it says

Page title or URL. After you've done that click Run reflinks. Then after that, a preview of the edit you are going to make will show. Scroll down and click Save page, and once the edit is saved, it should have did some reference titling for you. - Dwayne was here! ♫ 23:44, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
