@Qcne What qualifies a public figure as "sufficiently notable for inclusion", as I also edit for wikipedia? EMB1991 (talk) 13:55, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Draft:Eric Miles-Baker. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Notable people who have edited Wikipedia). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Hi,
So actually I've utilized the 'biography of a living person', myself, with aims to create social presence and have publicly disclosed that I have done so. If you would, rather, like to appoint someone to make changes on my behalf, that's great! however, the fatal business model is distinguishing when news sources are factual or fabricated. I've already done the job for you guys.
Best,
Eric EMB1991 (talk) 16:12, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your aim to "create social presence" here is totally at odds with Wikipedia, we only have articles on notable people, and they are written by people entirely unconnected with the subject. Theroadislong (talk) 14:04, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Theroadislong As I've mentioned in a previous post anyone can contribute to the free encyclopedic resource no matter the profession. I've not only used valuable primary and secondary sources, but I've coalesced annectdotes so as to make the article both approachable, and relatable, which ultimately assists wikipedia in maintaining its standard. It seems that you, along with other moderators have created a "cash for notoriety scheme" as in no doctrine created by wikipedia does it state that people aren't allowed to create self realized articles. Please maintain Wikipedia's standard, not your own! Personal gain will not be allowed. EMB1991 (talk) 18:41, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Eric Miles-Baker, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. @Bbb23 This is false! EMB1991 (talk) 13:55, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

is closed. The unblock request did not address any of the concerns and veered close into WP:NLT territory. --Yamla (talk) 17:19, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • EMB1991, do not send me any more e-mail.--Bbb23 (talk) 23:45, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Bbb23 @Yamla I'm attempting to create an article however it states that user @Bbb23 has blocked me for "Disruptive editing, including promotional and vandalism". I have since decided to create the article myself. Please note, this will be my first created article. Please remove the block. EMB1991 (talk) 13:52, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Yamla There were no concerns to list, my dear! Everything drafted for submission followed every guideline. The appeals process is for administrators to reassess the decision made on part of its team. So long as all bases are covered on my end I should not have received this message. Please reassess and provide due process in getting the block struck down and removed. EMB1991 (talk) 13:49, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We are not interested in you using Wikipedia to promote yourself ("with aims to create social presence"). --Yamla (talk) 13:54, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Excuse me, I am the chief editor at theLIVELY Publishing House. The subject for which I write is 'Eric Miles-Baker'. I am, too, entitles to draft and create articles on wikipedia. Press pass available. EMB1991 (talk) 13:57, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is literally the definition of promotion, @EMB1991, which is strictly prohibited on Wikipedia. Please read WP:NOT. Qcne (talk) 14:38, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Qcne Anyone can contribute to the free encyclopedic page no matter the profession. That's absurd. Your remarks are clear censorship and lest I remind people of their duties as moderators; that is, to facilitate proper processes, to avoid slander and maintain wikipedia's standard fact based information. I want to remind, moderators aren't celebrities, and listing public figures with whom you have personally corresponded could get one in trouble as it leaves open the possibility of bias. This feels like an attack, not an opportunity for correction as a "speedy deletion nomination" went recorded on the third submission of my first draft submission. At this point I have decided to create the article myself. I hope you all enjoy it!
Warmly,@Bbb23

That sounds like a threat to sock. Regardless, I've revoked TPA.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:43, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You would be well advised to limit your use of the talk page to appealing your block, rather than incoherently ranting about "moderators" (not sure what they are?) Theroadislong (talk) 18:35, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Usually, it means admins.--Bbb23 (talk) 18:43, 21 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As chief editor and so forth, you will need to heed WP:PAID as a condition for unblocking. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:17, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

is closed. It would be best if user addressed the reasons for their block instead of lecturing on the "duties" of Wikipedia admins. Thanks. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:12, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

They made the same offer to sock at UTRS. Really. If the approach failed before, why repeat it? -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:13, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Let me explain this carefully. No one is entitled to edit Wikipedia. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:14, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm entitled to edit Wikipedia - says so on my birth certificate.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:29, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And no one may use Wikipedia for promotional purposes. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:18, 22 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
