Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! Dcirovic (talk) 16:44, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your good faith edit. You should not change quotes from original sources, as this obviously was. Our modern spelling habits are not important. Earthscent (talk) 17:41, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

April 2016[edit]

Information icon Please do not attack other editors, as you did at United States presidential line of succession. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. While you are correct about quotes, you went too far when you called another editor "stupid" in your edit summary. - theWOLFchild 21:38, 10 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Advice[edit]

Please do not restore unreferenced text in wikiepdia articles. This is against wikipedia policies. We don't need consensus on that. This is the basic policy. Staszek Lem (talk) 18:47, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May 2016[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Star Trek (2017 TV series) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Your contributed article, Doctor Who (series 10 )[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Doctor Who (series 10 ). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Draft:Doctor Who (series 10). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Draft:Doctor Who (series 10) – you might like to discuss new information at [[Talk:Draft:Doctor Who (series 10)|the article's talk page]].

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Alex|The|Whovian? 14:00, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there ![edit]

May I just ask who you are ? Not in details, but any internal link to your User page becommes a red link, not blue. And instructions how to use this account ?? Quote "Wikipedia does not have a user page with this exact title. In general, this page should be created and edited by User:Earthscent." In general ??? Can I try it ? Are you some kind of CIA or NSA-spook ? Not that I see anything wrong in that if so. But if so You are now reveled. And surely must many other before me noticed the same. So no are you some kind of super-administrator ? But then why "used generally". Especially since you make large edits, perhaps you could reveal a bit more ? All well, I'm just curious. Cheers Boeing720 (talk) 01:24, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No, you can't ask me who I am. Don't be rude. And asking insane questions is not the best way to get to know someone. Earthscent (talk) 02:08, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open![edit]

Hello, Earthscent. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Request for feedback[edit]

You have recently contributed to the discussion at talk:Living Presidents of the United States about changes I have made. I initiated that discussion and have tried to drive it to consensus, in the process making more recent talk page edits than the other editors combined. For your participation in that discussion, I thank you. I am, however, wondering about my participation in that discussion.

  • Have I been pushing my own ideas too much?
  • Have I ignored those with opinions different from mine?
  • Can you think of any way my talk page involvement could have been improved?

You may answer me here, on my talk page, or by e-mail. Thank you for your desire to improve this online encyclopedia! YBG (talk) 05:04, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop being petulant and read before you revert[edit]

Judging by your edit history, I can certainly see you haven't been one for compromise or politeness. But as a sign of good faith, as I even said for Adam Kokesh, I put down another source that wasn't Infowars. Next time, check before you revert.--Guiletheme (talk) 05:32, 28 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Star Wars[edit]

Guy Henry played Tarkin in Rogue One. Cushing was just digitally edited over his face. That doesn't mean Cushing was playing Tarkin, as he's been dead for 22 years. So this also means that any digital recreation of Fisher doesn't count as Fisher actually being in the film. Rusted AutoParts 18:18, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is your opinion. Find a reliable source saying it's her last film. Earthscent (talk) 19:48, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's not an opinion, it's a fact. Read the Rogue One page. Rusted AutoParts 21:01, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I can help. I deleted the nonsense you added to an article. You're welcome. Earthscent (talk) 17:50, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you keep deleteing Jimmy McMillan and Ted Cruz away from Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development and Ambassador to Canada? I know President Trump will pick these's people so please add them back please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobby232332 (talkcontribs) 18:09, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go through the motions of asking you to cite a reliable source. Does this idea come from anywhere except your mind? Earthscent (talk) 18:27, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Discretionary sanctions alert[edit]

This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Please note that United States presidential election, 2020 (and many other articles in the topic area) are under various page restrictions, including 1RR/consensus required. Check the talk page on any article to determine what, if any, restrictions are in effect on the page. Talk page blanking.[edit]

Regarding your blanking of the edit proposal at talk:white pride. Blanking is sometimes an option in the case of complete gibberish, highly offensive or libelous material but this was not the case here. The guidelines on etiquette which are relevant to this topic can be found here - "Cautiously editing or removing another editor's comments is sometimes allowed, but normally you should stop if there is any objection. If you make anything more than minor changes it is good practice to leave a short explanatory note such as "[possible libel removed by Edaham (talk) 05:29, 28 August 2017 (UTC)]" - cheers! Edaham (talk) 05:29, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion[edit]

Looking back, I can see how there was some confusion. While my edits were not made in bad-faith, someone who doesn't understand context could misinterpret them. It can be difficult to ascertain certain subtleties particularly for someone who is not a native English speaker (not saying you fall into this category, just using an example). I will make an attempt to be more direct with my speech going forward. Cheers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:301:772D:62D0:C8EB:4BCC:A3BC:F88B (talk) 21:22, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

So when you repeatedly added fake information to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Senate_election_in_New_Jersey,_2018 and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Paso,_Texas it was because you're not a native speaker of English? That's hard to believe. There was absolutely no reason for you edit those articles as you did. It doesn't matter what language you speak. You were vandalizing those articles. Earthscent (talk) 10:22, 9 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are correct. I have no excuse. I apologize. 2600:1012:B01B:68B0:1B7:FE20:4953:2D4D (talk) 01:05, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
