License tagging for Image:Romanceofcrime.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Romanceofcrime.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:06, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Removing image warnings from this page[edit]

Please do not remove image warnings from Your talk page, it can lead to blocking. feydey 16:05, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eight Doctor novels[edit]

I'll be removing your Category:Eighth Doctor novels from the various EDA since it will pretty much end up mirroring the Category:Eighth Doctor Adventures, save for Fear Itself and The Dying Days. Even though it may seem convenient having a likewise category akin to Category:Fifth Doctor novels or what-not, in this case it's going to become very redundant. Hope you don't mind and keep up the plusgood work... DrWho42 16:50, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shrieker[edit]

Hello there...I don't know when it happened, but the entry Shriekrs (movie) has been redirected to the Tremors film. I just found it as I changed it from just plain Tremors redirect. If there is an article about Shriker around, I haven't found it. Just FYI that the link on your user page links to Tremors (film) now.
—Lady Aleena talk/contribs 00:08, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how you can recover the information, but here are possible titles for you to use.
Shrieker (film)
Shriker (book)
BTW, please make sure to sign your entries on talk pages in the future, but using the 4 tildes...:)

Great work! Let's see if we can pull in some other folks to compile a steady stream of topics for selcted articles, images, bios, etc. Maybe we could have a featured city/town as well? We've set up a system on the law project to automatically rotate in one of four different selected items each week, which we can implement here as well. bd2412 T 04:23, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm off to bed, so I'll think on colors in the morning... but I'm rather attached to a shade of orange, since oranges are a key Florida crop. bd2412 T 04:36, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Plantation Key[edit]

Just to let you know, List of places in Florida: P is a list of populated places per the USGS FIPS55 Data. According to the FIPS55 list, there are two populated places on Plantation Key, Plantation, Florida and Plantation Key, Florida. In addition, the USGS Geographic Names Information System lists a populated place called Plantation Key Colony, Florida on Plantation Key. Therefore, Plantation Key, Florida is not synonymous with Plantation Key. -- Donald Albury(Talk) 00:14, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

<<vandalism removed>> -- this was not a genuine warning: the person who left it is now indefinitely blocked. Antandrus (talk) 17:41, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • The error was unintentional. Looking at Topozone, it shows Plantation Key as an island and a population place. Plantation does appear to be a population place on the key. I changed the 'List of places in Florida: P' page to point to the right cities, as they're currently all pointing to the disambiguation page, and added the Monroe County location to the disambiguation page too. Any other help or advice would be appreciated.
It can get confusing. I also noticed you fixed the Muce/Muse reference in Glades County. The USGS FIPS55 does indeed list both, but the USGS GNIS only lists Muce. The list was originally a dump of the FIPS55. I spent some time a while back breaking it into manageable chunks, and deleting the obvious duplicates. Unfortunately, FIPS55 and/or GNIS seem to be the only available references for the existence of many of these places. I suppose they can be seen on maps, but that doesn't help much in trying to write something about them. BTW, I hid part of the entry for Muce, as the "Ding" Darling wildlife refuge is on Sanibel Island in Lee County, and thus isn't much use in locating Muce. -- Donald Albury(Talk) 01:20, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the addition of the map on Truman Annex. I created the article to breakout the section. I've never been 100 percent sure who actually owns the Truman White House. I keep swearing to make a phone call. From web entries I always had the impression that it was somehow connected to the state. But the state and its "official" website make no mention of ownership. Yes, it's on the National Register of Historic Places but that doesn't make it NPS land. If it is indeed (which in my heart I hope) owned and managed by the NPS (which I likewise can't find reference) it should be broken out. Any help on enlightening the situation would be appreciated. History Barnstar[edit]

The Epic Barnstar
I noticed you've been putting a lot of effort into Category:Registered Historic Places in Florida articles. I haven't gotten nearly that far with the NRHP entries in Minnesota yet. Since you've put so much work into the Florida articles, you deserve a barnstar for your efforts. Elkman - (Elkspeak) 15:10, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinates[edit]

Thanks for the note about moving the coordinates that I added. I agree, the new location (With external links seperated from resources) looks much better. I'm a big supporter of having coordinates listed with quick links to aerial/satellite images and maps. I find it interesting to view places with the online aerial images such as Google Maps, and sometimes Topo maps have interesting historical information on them. Additionally, some locations such as your recent contribution of Press Site-Clock and Flag Pole, could be difficult to find without local knowledge. Photographs and maps on the internet may be the only way for some people to ever experience these locations. Thanks again, you've added a lot of content that I appreciate. I couldn't talk you into starting a page for the Air Force Space and Missile Museum at CCAFS, could I?Fl295 13:45, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you're watching this to see the reply. Thanks for the thanks, first off.  :) I can see your point on the coordinates for the more-difficult-to-find places. But I'm hoping folks like you will see those and do what you did. I know some parts of Florida very well, but around Cape Canaveral isn't one of them. Yet.
As far as the Missile Museum, I can create a page, but it'll prolly be a while. My main priority has been to create stubs for all the Florida National Register Places.
By the way, I'm also trying to get decent pix of all the Florida Historic Places and State Parks. If you could help at all with that, even a little bit, it would be lovely.
Thanks again for the thanks and such. Later. :) --Ebyabe 12:33, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
