Dealing with vandalism

Hello, thanks for your efforts to remove vandalism. However, at please make sure you undo all the bad edits made to an article. At the Structure article, you only undid one edit but the vandal made two of them. Please use a tool like Twinkle or RevWarn to warn vandals; also see the page about Recent Changes patrol. Graham87 06:55, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Hey!
Thanks for telling me, I’ll make sure to check for multiple edits when I next do this. And thanks for referring me to those tools, I’ll check them out!
Have a good day. EchidnaLives (talk) 07:43, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi EchidnaLives. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! ~Swarm~ {sting} 16:59, 13 October 2022 (UTC)

Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire page

Hi, EchidnaLives. The quote from Bernal Díaz del Castillo is as cited in Joy Hakim's 2005 book The First Americans: Prehistory - 1600 Chapter 22, Page 110. I was actually in the midst of writing a citation when my edits were suddenly reverted before I had a chance to add the citation. Professor Penguino (talk) 01:55, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello @Professor Penguino,
Sorry about this. In the future, you may want to add the citation at the same time as the edit, so people like me who monitor recent changes don't revert it.
Thanks for your contribuitons. If you have any further questions, just reply below. echidnaLives (talk) 02:05, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Oh! Wow! Thank you for your prompt response and your great suggestion. From now on, I'll make sure to insert the citation at the same time as the text. Sincerely, Fellow Wikipedian, Professor Penguino (talk) 02:09, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
@Professor Penguino
Happy I could help. Happy editing! echidnaLives (talk) 03:42, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

DadFeels webseries on ARG list page

Honestly I'm new to editing wiki, but DadFeels is an active webseries with multiple puzzles, ciphers, spectro's etc. There's currently an active discord server that also contains links to different fan constructed documents, and the fandom page as well. It's super well produced. The creator of the series himself defines it as a webseries. It's definitely a lot of fun and a great watch if you play along. I was looking for something to delve into for a while and didn't see it there. I'm sorry if my addition was inappropriate, I usually use wiki, not edit 😅. It's super interesting, insanely well produced, and full of arg elements, it's just defined by it's creator as a webseries, which is why I was putting it under that section. Gotta share the goodness! Also it appears that both EveryManHybrid and Tribe Twelve are missing from the list as well. ~~~~Iezbefrenz~~~~ Iezbefrenz (talk) 01:54, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello @Iezbefrenz,
Welcome to Wikipedia! Unfortunately the link did not follow the external link guidelines at Wikipedia:External links.
You may wish to instead replace it with a Wikilink, if the article exists.
If you have any questions, just reply below. Thanks. echidnaLives (talk) 02:01, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you! I tried pulling up the wiki for it, but it's just redirecting to the creator's wiki (Nathan Barnatt). The fandom page is probably the best website page for it. I see that posting links to the youtube page itself was outside of the guidelines, again I'm sorry. I'm not quite sure how to add it then unless I use the fandom page link. The discord has much more comprehensive info, but obviously not going to link that. As the search for DadFeels comes up as a redirect to Nathan Barnatt's wiki, is that appropriate? A lot of the page is focused on his other work. "In 2019, Barnatt created a YouTube channel called Dad, featuring the web series Dad Feels following a character named Dad. Though it is often called an alternate reality game (ARG), Barnatt disowns the term. The series has concluded its first season consisting three acts in December 2020. The series was a surprising success for Barnatt, who was experiencing financial struggles severe enough that he prepared to live in his van". This being the most pertinent part of the wiki as far as the series goes. The reference link there just brings you to the youtube channel. (which looking at this the info is actually a bit wrong and outdated, it actually started in 2018, and it's still going, and the creator has said he intends to keep the series going after the upcoming Act IIII finale, actually.) If there's no way to do this that's okay, it's just so good I want others to experience it as well =] Iezbefrenz (talk) 02:29, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Hello again @Iezbefrenz,
If the Wikipedia article doesn't exist (which it doesn't), it probably shouldn't be included in a list article.
Lists are collections of articles that already exist, and usually don't include external links. If you believe DadFeels is notable enough to have an article, you might want to look into creating it.
For more information, please see Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists, and if you are interested in creating it, check out Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Notability (web) and Help:Your First Article.
Again, if you have any further questions, just reply below! Have a good day. echidnaLives (talk) 03:39, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the advice and direction! I'll definitely look into it and ask around in the community and see what they think/if they want to help. I appreciate your direction and support a lot! I'm gonna ss the convo so I have it for later use.
Have a wonderful day/night =] Iezbefrenz (talk) 03:47, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
@Iezbefrenz
Happy to help! I would recommend asking someone at Wikipedia:Teahouse or Wikipedia:Help desk for advice. I would help more, but this isn't really my area of expertise.
Good luck! echidnaLives (talk) 04:09, 14 October 2022 (UTC)
All good! You've been incredibly helpful and I really appreciate it. Thank you again!! 🙏
Thank you =] and have a great one! Iezbefrenz (talk) 04:11, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

List of Text Mining Software

Hey there EchidnaLives, I hope you are keeping well and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia. I am just unsure as to why you removed Caplena from the commercial section of List of Text Mining Software? Text mining, otherwise known as text analysis or opinion mining, are interrelated concepts and according to Wikipedia, Caplena fits the definition of text mining and software. If there is a mistake on my behalf, could you please let me know? :) SavageSeaview2 (talk) 11:15, 14 October 2022 (UTC)

Hello @SavageSeaview2,
Thanks for following up. I answered a similar question earlier today, so I'm going to copy/paste the same message as I believe it would be helpful.
