A tag has been placed on Taming the Masai Mara: Kenya’s showpiece game reserve, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you can indicate why Taming the Masai Mara: Kenya’s showpiece game reserve is really not blatant advertising, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Taming the Masai Mara: Kenya’s showpiece game reserve. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11 under General criteria. You might also want to read the guidelines on spam. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert why the article is not blatant advertising, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources to ensure that your article will be verifiable.Fan-1967 05:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Exploring the Canadian Wilderness by Canoe[edit]

Thank you for your contributing Exploring the Canadian Wilderness by Canoe to Wikipedia. I originally listed your article for deletion because it had POV problems. A further problem is that it is basically an essay as opposed to an "encyclopedic" entry on the subject.

Unfortunately, it is now worse because you seem to be advertising yourself (with the email link at the bottom). I assume that this is not your intent, but I believe this is how others will perceive it. I recommend contributing your knowledge to some other articles on Wikipedia.

Please don't remove deletion messages. You can add a {{hangon}} if you'd like the deleting admin to consider your explanation. Tarinth 23:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Inca Trail Marathon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia for multiple reasons. Please see the page to see the reasons. If the page has since been deleted, you can ask me the reasons by leaving a message on my user talk page.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. →GƒoleyFour← 23:49, 17 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Inca Trail Marathon, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
