Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Vin-head.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. -- STBotI (talk) 18:25, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vin DiCarlo[edit]

Hey, you seemed to be interested in him based on the page you have started. I suggest you quickly add some references to the article, I know there are plenty out there. Such as quoting from magazines articles and newspapers that he has been. Feel free to ask me any questions if you need guidance on editing wikipedia (policies etc...). Cheers. Mathmo Talk 22:43, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see you have been adding a few references already? Stuff like the boston magazine link is good, it shows he is notable (WP:N). Glad you enjoyed his workshop, wouldn't mind taking a look at one of them myself if only it was in NZ! lol It does seem like one of the more interesting guys I've been checking out recently. Also, take a look at The Dicknotist if you haven't already (though it has just moved across to another site...). If you like Vin DiCarlo I'll expect you will like that blog too. Anyway.... nothing too wikipedia related here... I'll get back on that when I've got the time. Cheerio. Mathmo Talk 08:40, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Vin-head1.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Vin-head1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot (talk) 00:10, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, you will need to read this stuff carefully if you are to get an image in the article. Then follow it. Unfortunately it has become a lot worse in the difficulty of getting an image etc on wikipedia. It is many things like this that are making me worry about the direction wikipedia is going on. Oh well, still is an amazing resource that I fully support the concept of. Mathmo Talk 08:42, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Vin DiCarlo[edit]

An editor has nominated Vin DiCarlo, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vin DiCarlo and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 19:59, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
