Investigative journalism about anything that matters is in peril everywhere - it costs money and no one wants to pay for news. Paid for through ads I hear people say, but who is going to pay to advertise alongside these critiques? I have organised Commons as:

Graves at KGC
Mausoleums at KGC
People buried at KGC (rather than Burials at KGC)

Yes it does. Commons is increasingly replicating Wikipedia, in some cases it is more developed. I did Trent Park Cemetery in both, which you may know. It is a small lawn type with no monuments. No notable (by our criteria) people seen yet. Philafrenzy (talk) 13:06, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Good luck - I think I gave in to the dragons long ago. Photographing my local clone high street has led to several new articles (the name Cashino does amuse me, even though such places are a blot on our shopping areas) and photographs for others. About Kim Beom-soo

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Kim Beom-soo a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Too many editors are more interested in making a point or winning an argument than adding useful content. From my extensive experience of Chinese restaurants (no dog, I'm not barking), it looks like a typical meat dish to me - meat with sauce and some veg on a plate. Apart from the tail, I'd guess the presentation of dog meat is unlikely to differ much from beef, pork, chicken, etc. Edwardx (talk) 09:55, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Amusingly, I was in front of an imposing building with large gates yesterday, resigned to getting no usable picture, when as I approached the gates automatically opened, enabling me to get a good shot (without trespassing). The political high vis vest has its roots in Michael Heseltine riding around in a tank in a camouflage jacket to make out he was a dynamic defence secretary I think. There really isn't any need for anything other than a baseball cap and a rucksack in my opinion. I have never had the slightest problem just pointing and shooting with a compact camera. Agreed that in most cases there would be no real benefit. It largely comes down to how normative taking photos is in a particular scenario. For example, exterior shots of most buildings is unproblematic. Interior shots of pubs like The Salisbury, Covent Garden is fine. However, interiors of untouristed pubs in rougher areas can be trickier. Of course, one might argue that bigger cameras and hi viz tabards might only make things worse. Perhaps it would be a good issue for discussion at a future meet-up. Hard to imagine that this has not been considered before. Edwardx (talk) 12:09, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
The high vis jacket in this context would be a form of disguise since we are not protecting ourselves from danger (the real purpose of the jacket) and why would we need a disguise if we are not intruding? If it was me, I'd start a new page for each person, and copy into each whatever stuff you want to keep, plus any new stuff you want to add. They are in addition to "graves at", otherwise you just end up with a massive category of slabs of undifferentiated stone. There is article potential too when the material is grouped in this way for people not separately notable. Yes, life is often simpler if one just just sticks to a basic web search using a certain well-known search engine. Been filling in some DOBs and middle names with Companies House beta search. Go to Historic England Map Search, enter a postcode, zoom in. What I sometimes do is print out a map or two, then highlight what needs to be photographed and/or have an article created. And no one is stopping you from creating such a list... As for Petersham, enter TW10 7AD and zoom in. Or stalk my contributions over the next few days! Cooper's mother's maiden name was Carlton. Hilary Carlton and Allen Cooper married in Willesden district in 1964. A Marcus S. Cooper married Katie A. Lucas in Westminster district in 1998. According to their Annual Review 2012-12, page 60, "Katie & Marcus Cooper" are patrons of Jewish Care.
