A much deserved barnstar[edit]

The Original Barnstar
In honor of the countless sources that you have introduced to articles, I hereby present you with a much deserved barnstar. Your hard work is truly appreciated by all of us. The Hybrid 00:12, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're quite welcome. When I saw that the one guy that I'm disputing with had removed material from three articles, and you had restored the material with sources to two of them, I figured that it was about time someone give this guy a barnstar. Thanks for making all of our jobs a lot easier. Peace, The Hybrid 14:21, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:AIV reports[edit]

Hi Eggy49er. You reported User:Jon madden to AIV. It was spot on, as he was intent on just vandalising, and I have blocked for 24 hours. However, when I got to his talk page I noticed that he had not been warned. It is preferable to go through the warnings to at least try to stop the vandal before a block has to be done. In this instance I've blocked without warning because of the disruption, so it's just a heads up about using warnings in the future. Thanks for your efforts!! Here's a handy table - you may well want to cut it out of here and pop it on your user page, or a user sub-page. Hope it helps! Pedro |  Chat  12:37, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Professional wrestling newsletter message[edit]

It has recently been brought to the attention of WP:PW that the newsletter is being to delivered to several users who have not been actively editing for several months. As a result, their talk pages have become increasingly large, unmanageable and slow to load due to a lack of archiving.
In response, this message is being sent to all editors listed in Category:WikiProject Professional wrestling participants to say that anyone who does not list their name at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active before May 16 will be automatically listed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, and will no longer receive the newsletter or any notification of it. If you are added to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Nospam, please feel free to remove your name if you desire.
If you wish to continue receiving the newsletter as normal, please add your name to Wikipedia:WikiProject Professional wrestling/Newsletter/Active. If you simply wish to receive notification of a new issue, but not have the full newsletter delivered to your talk page, please add your name to the notification only list.
If you have any queries please contact me at my talk page or leave a message at WT:PW. Thank you for your co-operation. ♥NiciVampireHeart♥ 00:36, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Swearing-in date[edit]

Hi, just so you know - the swearing in and the beginning of service in the U.S. House of Representatives is not the same. When people are elected in special elections they immediately take office, which is marked in their official Congress biographies, but vote counting/certification and whatnot delays their swearing-in. The oath seems not necessary, in line with how a U.S. President or Congressperson doesn't need to take an oath to begin service on January 3 because this is prescribed by the U.S. Constitution. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Eggy49er,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
