How to get autoconfirmed status[edit]

Hi Eglu81. I got your "thanks" note for my update to John Forbes Nash, Jr. and appreciate it :) I hadn't seen your semi-protected edit request on the talk page until after I made the change; I'm not sure how the edit requests are monitored but I guess that's done by administrators. I'd encourage you to not be shy about updating other articles. After you've made 10 edits, you should get "autoconfirmed" status so you'll be able to make changes to semi-protected articles as well. I don't make a lot of changes to wikipedia and am not nearly as proficient as many users, but I enjoy making small contributions. Sometimes it's hard to know where to start, but there are always many articles here Wikipedia:COMPORT which need updates. So I hope you'll feel comfortable making contributions.
