I'm just wondering why a site created in the United States, by a US citizen, operated in the United States, on the internet INVENTED IN THE UNITED STATES, viewed and maintained by far more US citizens than citizens from any other country, supported by contributions from FAR more US citizens than from any other country is written in British English instead of US English. This is why my little brother, who is seven years old and learning to read has so much trouble reading Wikipedia. I keep telling him that this is the best website on the internet for information, but he cannot understand why the words are misspelled. If the British want to control something, they should invent their own internet and their own encyclopedic website (or is that encyclopaedic?) ElfNathan (talk) 06:35, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki takes America. Is this a fucking joke???[edit]

Why should anyone in the USA participate in a so-called American project?? Wikipedia is controlled by the british Commonwealth. Although this is an American website... an American project... Supported mostly by American dollars... served on American servers... but written in commonwealth English. It seems that American English is totally banned on wikipedia. Never mind that there are more speakers of American English on this planet than there EVER will be "Commonwealth English" speakers. Fuck a lot of your wiki takes America crap... go hold your commercial promotions in a commonwealth nation and leave the Americans out of it... This will just give you MORE AMERICAN DOLLARS to support a stupid policy of not allowing articles to be written in American English!!!!
