January 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm Ryan Vesey. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to AR-15 seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.  Ryan Vesey 02:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically, we have a policy that we don't give undue weight to minority aspects of a subject. The fact that an AR-15 was used in the event is not relevant to encyclopedic coverage of the subject. Ryan Vesey 02:36, 2 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

September 2014[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Cohoes, New York. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 15:48, 19 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
