I've just seen your message, but just about to go away for the weekend, I'll reply when I return Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:52, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I have time now. One minor point, if you recreate, is that the title should be Chris Kelly (DJ) since the DJ isn't part of his name.
I deleted your article because it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, or they will be deleted.
I can see nothing in the article to suggest that he meets the notability criteria. Unless you can find independent references as defined in the link to explain why he is notable, the article has no real chance of survival.

You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Chris Kelly (DJ) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:21, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You haven't said why he is notable in the terms linked above, and, in your last version, sources such as

  • Chris Kelly himself
  • Close friends
  • Colleague's of Chris

Hardly look like verifiable independent references. This isn't Facebook, it's an encyclopaedia Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:53, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Chris Kelly (DJ) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

not notable, unless this chris kelly: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2318067/Kris-Kross-star-Chris-Kelly-dies-aged-34-unresponsive-home.html is the same person

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
