bonds between magnesium and flourine[edit]

thank you. Is that the same when carbon bonds with flourine? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.214.199.203 (talk) 22:21, 3 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No. Because carbon is in a different family (group IVA), its valence electrons fill different orbitals. Also due to its higher electronegativity, it tends to form covalent bonds. Take a look at our article on tetrafluoromethane, and if you have any more questions please ask. --Emery (talk) 03:24, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, and perhaps it would be of use to you to mention that carbon and flourine form a non-polar (covalent) bond also. --Emery (talk) 23:45, 5 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

stop please[edit]

I notice you follow me around and criticise my edits. Please respect your fellow editors. Discharging P (talk) 20:07, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do nothing of the sort. As soon as you show me you can make constructive edits, I will change my opinion of you. Until then, you are just a troll. --Emery (talk) 04:12, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I sent the password reset email.[edit]

If you got a password reset email, that was because of me, so don't worry, no one's trying to break in to your account. Sorry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 3M3RY (talkcontribs) 02:36, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
