This is an article to bring together the minor characters and provide a brief overview of their appearances, story and abilities. It is for Marvel Comics characters who fail notability but a bit of background on them might be useful for explaining more important stories. It satisfies WP:FICT and WP:WAF and is one of the suggested solutions to the problem of their being an excess of minor characters around who are all deletion fodder.

Things to do:

Add a comment under the section header about what links there, if (as seems likely) the article is split then these links need to be updated. This should underline the fact that it is wise to make sure the links go via the redirect so they will always be correct (you make them direct links and there is no way to figure out which incoming links need updating).
Make sure the reidrects are properly categorised, with things like the character debut year (e.g. Category: 1982 comics characters debuts) and the fact they are a Category: Marvel Comics characters) which means people can always use the categories as navigation to find these articles as well as the character list.
Try and use {{cite comic}} when referencing comic books.
The Appendix to the Handbook of the Marvel Universe can be your friend here as they focus on the minor Marvel characters and can provide useful information.

If we can do that it should be a handy tool and also prevent character bloat while also allowing us a target to merge characters to rather than them simply getting deleted.

We are also looking at transwiking what we have to appropriate Wikia projects which go into much more detail on everything, so we have a number of ways to prevent information being lost through deletion. (Emperor (talk) 17:45, 4 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]

I've just started the article and run through the redirects on this list It is a little rough at the moment but I'll go through and fancy them up a bit before pushing on with others.

Feel free to add to this but don't switch the redirects over until this is moved into the mainspace. The plan is just to have the outline of an article before making it live so there is no confusion over what it is about and there are examples to help guide other editors as they expand this.
