Deletion note[edit]

Since you dropped hangon templates on the talk pages for the above articles, I wanted to drop you a note as to why they were deleted anyway. I could see no reason why these three standards, out of the zillions of standards throughout the world, rose to the level of encyclopedic notability. Sorry. RE: Deletion Tags[edit]

I just noticed that the previous editor that commented on this page also questioned notability. My problem was; are these standards notable ENOUGH for their own article. I would suggest that these standards be amalgamated into the IEST page (which I didn't make any changes to - see page history. I obviously don't have a problem with documenting them, but I think it would better suit Wikipedia, if they were part of the main IEST article. Your pages for standards have very long (and awkward) titles. I recommend that you create a section on the IEST page for these standards. It would be more concise and easier accessed. It would also provide a better class of article. Thank you for your edits anyhow and if you need any advise, don't hestitate to ask me or any active editor. Hello Environ1561,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, IEST-STD-CC1246E, may be copied from http://www.cemag.us/news/2013/02/iest-revises-iest-std-cc1246e. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 18:50, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

October 2013[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to ISO 14644 may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "<>"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 18:52, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for October 10[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages HALT and HASS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as IEST-RP-CC006.3: Testing Cleanrooms, to Wikipedia, as doing so is not in accordance with our policies. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Wikipedia:Your first article; you might also consider using the Article Wizard. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you really want to put up the standards, I would recommend a list page containing all of them, maybe with a table containing name, description, and external link. There is no way each and every single one of the standards individually meets Wikipedia's notability criteria. --Richard Yin (talk) 16:58, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright and notability[edit]

Please do not copy text that is copyright into Wikipedia. This is not allowed - please see WP:COPYVIO. You have also been told in the past that these standards are not of encyclopaedic note. I would ask you not to post any more of them, and would advise you that continuing to post them could be regarded as disruptive editing. Continued posting of copyright material can lead to blocking from editing. Peridon (talk) 20:01, 23 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
