Error[edit]

On the 233rd line (appendtext: "\nimportScript('" + decodeURIComponent(path) + "'); //Linkback: " + decodeURIComponent(path) + " Added by Script installer", ) we get an error when the username contains a dot.

If I had an acces I could correct it.

Global.js[edit]

@Equazcion: It would be neat if this script was extended to allow installing scripts on global.js! ~nmaia d 23:53, 1 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Not working for me anymore[edit]

A couple weeks ago, I noticed that I can no longer use this to install scripts. Chris Troutman (talk) 17:50, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ScriptInstaller is no longer working for me, either. The install and uninstall functions don't have any effect on my common.js file. — Newslinger talk 08:20, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Newslinger and Chris troutman, seeing that Equazcion sadly seems to have left the wiki, at least for now, I've taken it upon myself to fork ScriptInstaller and fix the problems with it. If you install my fork of the script following the instructions here, you should be able to get it working again. I've left a note on Equazcion's talk page explaining what I've done, and clarifying that if he wants to come back and take it over again, he's more than welcome to. In the mean time, if you have any other bug fixes or improvements you want made, please feel free to let me know. Cheers! Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 15:16, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent job, Naypta! It's working perfectly for me. I've listed your fork on Wikipedia:User scripts/List at Special:Diff/955791214. — Newslinger talk 20:51, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Newslinger: happy to help, thanks for listing it! It's a useful tool and it'd be a shame to leave it non-functional :) Naypta ☺ | ✉ talk page | 20:53, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Difference[edit]

I want to know that there's a gadget in preferences that is also called script installer. And this script is script installer too. What's the difference between the gadget and script. Is it more efficient and working? Tears. Empire AS Talk! 05:03, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
