Your edit to Tron (film)[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance notices from pages unless the required changes have been made. If you are uncertain whether the page requires further work, or if you disagree with the notice, please discuss these issues on the page's talk page before removing the notice from the page. These notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of a page. Thank you. RobJ1981 02:56, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

11 pieces of trivia for Tron is more than enough to justify the trivia tag. The tag has every right to be placed, without discussion first. Wikipedia isn't a guide to every little note: it's an encyclopedia. Wikipedia:Avoid trivia sections in articles isn't a made up guideline, it's an official Wikipedia guideline. Also: when posting on talk pages... post on the bottom, not the top, since that's the proper way to do it. RobJ1981 05:53, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you feel that 11 pieces of trivia is too much? If you think that information could be better placed, then instead of cluttering the page, maybe you should spend some time by reworking it. Just because you don't think the info is useful doesn't mean is isn't valuable to someone else. I'm not complaining about the philosophy of the tag as I am about the fact that you're adding unnecessary clutter to pages where it is not necessary. I'd rather see info than some tag telling me that I'm looking at too many trivia items. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ericpaulson (talkcontribs)

Maintenance tags are important for editors. It lets people know it needs cleanup and so on. I don't know much about Tron, so I can't just easily clean it up. I think 11 is too much, because it's a long list of clutter. Look at featured articles (or good articles even), and you will see they don't have long lists of trivia. If the article is going to be improved, a trivia section needs to be smaller or just gone completely. Trivia sections aren't banned, they just shouldn't be so big. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.

The article Dave Della Terza has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable Internet 'personality', with no real evidence of any actual notice or accomplishments.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
