Orphaned non-free media (File:PUNTO-The Hexagonal Galleries 1.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PUNTO-The Hexagonal Galleries 1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:12, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Efraín Amador Piñero.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Efraín Amador Piñero.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. SuperMarioMan 21:31, 23 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Gustavo Matamoros, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://portal.unesco.org/culture/en/ev.php-URL_ID=16876&URL_DO=DO_PRINTPAGE&URL_SECTION=201.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 01:51, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gustavo Matamoros requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Removing Speedy at Gustavo Matamoros[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for taking the time to create a page here. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed a speedy deletion tag from a page you created yourself. Because Wikipedia policy does not allow the creator of the page to remove deletion tags, an automated program has replaced the deletion tag you removed from Gustavo Matamoros. Please do not continue to remove the deletion tag, instead, if you disagree with the deletion, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page by clicking this link. Once there, select the button that says Click here to contest this speedy deletion.
  2. This will take you to the talk page, where you can make your case by explaining why the page does not meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. For further help about the deletion, you could contact the user who first placed the tag or a highly active user who is willing to help with deletion. This message was left by a bot, so please do not contact the bot about the deletion. Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 02:14, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Status and Advice[edit]

As reviewing administrator, I deleted the article; there was extensiveremainingcopyvio--removing a few words does not fix the problem. In addition, the article was highly promotional, praising him, instead of describing him/ I am not sure whether or not he is notable--the best course for you to take is to try again, writing entirely from scratch and trying to use purely objective language. I reming you that a Wikipedia article needs to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. Gustavo Matamoros[edit]

Hi, nice rewrite. I've removed a couple of references as you can't use wikipedia articles as references in other articles. I know it sounds bizarre but wikipedia isn't considered a reliable source. NtheP (talk) 21:35, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In reference to article Felicia Chateloin[edit]

The article is based on two different sources. How many more sources may be needed to eliminate the ugly tags?. I personally think that the external links decisively collaborate on the authentication of personal information, and it is a little too much to ask for more information. I have seen articles accepted with much less information than this one, and I am very curious about why such an utterly harsh standard may be applied to this one. I sincerely appreciate your response.--Ernesto53 (talk) 04:00, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Martín Pedreira has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable as either scholor or musician. Fails WP:ACADEMIC and WP:MUSICBIO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
