May 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Rama, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Abecedare (talk) 01:27, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Rama. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Please note that blogs and general websites are not considered reliable sources on wikipedia. Please read wikipedia's policy on acceptable sources, and discuss your proposed changes on the talk page. Abecedare (talk) 01:39, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits, such as those you made to Middle East. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, you will be blocked from editing. Izzedine (talk) 02:20, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring[edit]

Please stop your edit-warring and disruptive editing at Rama. Use the talk page instead to propose new content along with reliable sources, and establish consensus. If you continue your current mode of editing you are likely to be blocked from editing on wikipedia. Abecedare (talk) 18:00, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eronel189, the only article that the religious views of ISKCON on Rama might be notable is on the ISKCON article. Even there, you should try and reach consensus first, rather than edit-warring. And please read Reliable Sources, Edit-warring, and consensus. You are completely ignoring these key Wikipedia policies, even though you've been repeatedly asked to read them. Priyanath talk 18:16, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring, again[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Priyanath talk 00:58, 13 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bobby Hill's Age[edit]

I started a conversatio about his age here. Please discuss your reasoning there so that we can come to a consensus about how to list his age. I've invited members of 4 related Wikiprojects to the discussion as well. Thanks for your time. OlYellerTalktome 01:15, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

With reference to your article in the Los Angeles Times dated Sunday 11th January, 1970 under the heading "Krishna Chant, I beg to point out that Hindu religion is perfectly based on Personal conception of God or Visnu. Impersonal conception of God is a side issue or one of the three features of God. The Absolute Truth is ultimately the Supreme Personality of Godhead, the Paramatma conception is localized aspect of His omnipresence and the impersonal conception is the aspect of His greatness and eternity.

So far Hindu religion is concerned, there are millions of Krishna Temples in India and there is not a single Hindu who does not worship Krishna. Therefore, this Krishna Consciousness movement is not a concocted idea. We invite all scholars, philosophers, religionists or members of the general public to understand this movement by critical study. And if one does so seriously, one will understand the sublime position of this great movement.

If we can open one centre in New York there is great potency for opening other centres also not only in America but also in Europe, Japan, China and many other places just to fulfill the desire of Srila Prabhupada and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu. This is purely cultural programme for spreading the Hindu culture and if the Hindus have no such scope for spreading their culture then what is the meaning of independence? These points are to be raised and I think there must be some provision for such cultural propaganda because the Government has its own cultural ministry and they are spending millions and billions for this purpose. Please try for this first and foremost and if we are successful in getting the sanction then other things will follow automatically on this cultural programme. I hope you will follow the idea because you have done so many practical work in the mission. I want to know simply whether the Deputy Controller of Exchange is actually in power to sanction such exchange as to open Hindu temples etc in the foreign countries.

I was also invited by some churches church governed schools and colleges and I spoke there and they appreciated and presented me some token rewards. When I was speaking to the students they were very much eagerly hearing me about the principles of Srimad-Bhagavatam rather the clergymen were cautious to allow the students to hear me so patiently. They thought that the students may not be converted into Hindu ideas as it is quite natural for any religious sect. But they do not know that the devotional service of the Lord (Sri Krishna) is the common religion for every one including the aborigines and the cannibals in the jungles.

Simply by casual lectures there is no possibility of any tangible work but the abovementioned standard work will do impress the people what actually the Hindu culture is. I have already seen a nice house for this purpose and if you purchase that house for this purpose as your personal property and give the facility of working then you will see how the mission of Bhagavati cult is being preached here in America beginning from New York.

65-11-10

Temple idea is prompted in me because I feel that Srila Prabhupada wanted to open some temples in the foreign countries. Personally I have no aptitude to open temples neither I have done it in India although there were many great opportunities. But here see there is necessity even from the point of Hindu cultural view. There is not a single Hindu temple here at least in New York or all the places so far I have traveled in this country.

to Swami Bon 66-01-20

Therefore it is a need that this movement must be spread all over this country. It is glorious for India and glorious for Hindu Religion. Please therefore fully cooperate with me.

Proposed deletion of Naraka (Hinduism)[edit]

The article Naraka (Hinduism) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

original research; essay; non-sourced

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

When I placed the PROD template on the page, it was because it appeared to me to be little more than an original essay, which in and of itself would not fall within the Wikipedia guidelines. However, I chose to use a PROD template, which provides enough of an advisory to the author to provide sufficient sources and information regarding the topic, and as such, would give you time to move on it. Now, that being the case, if another editor feels/felt that the PROD was not sufficient, they could then convert the template to a Speedy Deletion template or take the article to an AfD discussion. I have done both in the past, when I have felt that there was sufficient reason to have an article removed.
Once again, a PROD template (which I chose to use here) gives an author time and room to fix the article in question. What I can also tell you is that your initial article description ("I felt it was important.") is not ordinarily a valid description for posting an article, and implies that the article is, indeed, a personal essay. Finally, I see and note that the speedy deletion template that was listed on the article by Abecedare is, more specifically, a direct copy from another web page. If that is, indeed the case, then it would need to be removed as a copyright violation, and would be eligible for removal without any further comment. Final removal of an article in any event would come at the discretion of a Wikipedia Admin (though an AfD discussion would provide time for comment from all interested parties).
There is nothing personal involved here; I did not do this with any intent of getting you upset or torqued off. I am one of a number of people who patrol new articles and flag ones that do not fit within Wikipedia guidelines for further attention/action. If there is anything I can do to help you, or to point you in a direction where you can get additional help, please let me know. --mhking (talk) 14:22, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Naraka (Hinduism) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Comment[edit]

I am disappointing by your recent edit at Talk:Rama, since User:Priyanath and I have already explained to you why these random websites are considered unreliable and have taken considerable effort on my talk page beto help you better understand wikipedia policies. Note that such conduct is taken as a sign of tendentious editing and failure of listen and learn, and is likely to get you blocked again if continued. Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Avsarpini. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. --Allen3 talk 11:21, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
