A tag has been placed on Mac of the Roundtable requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. The Real World: Las Vegas[edit]

Hi. regarding your edit summary, the Verifiability and WP:SECONDARY are satisfied by the secondsary source in the section in question, on which that material is based. A photo is not a source, and while MTV's site can be a source, it is not the only usable one, and is also a primary one. The website and initial cast photo for The Real World: Hollywood, for example did not feature all nine cast members that were eventually cast on that series. They initially featured Greg Halstead and Joey Kovar, and after those two left the cast, new or modified ones featuring Brittini Sherrod and Nick Brown were published. Let's wait until the season runs its course. If Heather Cooke doesn't appear as a cast member, and we are forced to conclude that Vevmo was incorrect regarding her, then we can remove that. Until then, let's just comment out her place on the cast table as a compromise. Nightscream (talk) 00:06, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. I emailed Vevmo, and they indicated to me that Heather Cooke replaces Adam after Adam is evicted from the cast. My say-so cannot be used as a source, of course, since this is OR, but I thought you might like to know. I've commented out the Heather Cooke info in the cast table, so that it's invisible for now. I'll un-comment it out when those episodes air. Thanks again. Nightscream (talk) 01:16, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I take it from your post that you're aren't familiar with WP:SECONDARY, despite my having linked to it above. Please read it. Primary sources not only aren't the only ones we're restricted to using, but secondary sources like Vevmo are preferable.
I also suggest you read WP:USERGENERATED. Material from sites that is user-generated, such as imdb or web forums is not permitted, unless it is clearly labeled as originating from the site's editorial staff. The post in question isn't a user's. It's a member of the Vevmo staff who acquired the information in question through their investigative activities and sources. As aforementioned, Vevmo has been cited as a source in the past several season articles because their information usually turns out to be correct. Nightscream (talk) 04:02, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
"I'm familiar with it, and a web forum post isn't valid in any way." WP:USERGENERATED says otherwise, so you're wrong. If Reality Steve has an editorial staff from which the information in question originates, then the same applies to that site too. Nightscream (talk) 05:25, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I "interpret" it by reading what it actually says, and understanding what it's intent is. Editorial staffs of websites with a history of accuracy who make it their business to rely on sources and confirm information, are credible, whereas information from anonymous forum users is not. This distinction is logical, which is why the policy in question says so. That's not liberalism, that's merely reading what the policy says, and employing commons sense to understand its wisdom, instead of relying on a perverse absolutism that precludes acknowledging exceptions or qualifiers, or understanding the reasoning behind them. Nightscream (talk) 03:52, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NOR[edit]

I've brought the issue up at WP:NOR/N. If you disagree with me, please provide an explanation as to why on either the talk page of the OBL conspiracy theories article or at the noticeboard. Please keep in mind that you are at 3reverts on that article today, so if you revert it again today you will probably pull a WP:3rr block. (I'm only at two myself, but out of courtesy will not revert further today if you provide an explanation as to why you disagree that it's WP:SYNTH - but if another editor takes it out and you revert, it'd be a violation.) Hi. When you recently edited Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jim Nicholson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I removed a category that you had inserted into the article. I figured I'd point you to the talkpage section (linked above) that includes my rationale, so you can have a look at my rationale (and the policy that I consulted) and we can discuss it. — Preceding signed comment added by Cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 14:45, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I started to write this message to you earlier but got distracted by real life. James McCaffrey may be notable, but the article at the moment doesn't show how he meets WP:ENT or WP:GNG. It should remain a redirect until sources can be added to show he meets the criteria. I spent quite a lot of time on this, and was unable to find reliable sources to confirm his notability. Good luck with finding the sources, but please do not revert the redirect until it is an article which meets the criteria, given in the links above, backed up by multiple reliable sources. We have to be really careful with biographies of living people. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 18:02, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Boleyn, I absolutely fail to see how, based on the criteria, it doesn't meet those standards. -- Erroneuz1 (talk) 21:04, 8 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Are you able to find reliable sources to show his notability? That's where I fell down on this one. Hopefully someone can. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 19:15, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You just acknowledged he portrayed lead roles on TV series. -- Erroneuz1 (talk) 20:40, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Er, no, that's not a topic I mentioned. Boleyn (talk) 21:13, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Claressa Shields[edit]

Greetings. If this is "hilarious" to you, then let's discuss in good spirits at WikiProject Boxing. I'm always eager to iron out intricacies like this. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 13:19, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I hear ya, but let's discuss it anyway at the above location. We're in disagreement about that particular detail, so I'd like to see others—namely, those who regularly edit the record tables—weigh in on it as well. Then, maybe, something can be set in stone as part of the MOS; whether the Shields-specific trivia stays or not. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 11:21, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on RockerBaby requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. reddogsix (talk) 15:38, 26 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jes (musician), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page BT (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
