Disambiguation link notification for January 16[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited Kumamoto Domain, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Kikuchi, Aso and Sagara. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:48, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

January 2024[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Please submit the article for review using the Articles for Creation template, rather than copying and pasting it into the articlespace. Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from ja.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 21:13, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi you’ve marked this as a translation from ja.wiki but the Japanese script you’ve included isn’t the name of the domain in Japanese. Can you provide a link to the article you translated please? Thanks Mccapra (talk) 08:56, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Asao Domain[edit]

Hello, Exam26,

Thank you for creating Asao Domain.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

The references cited do not support the article content. Better to use the Japanese sources than irrelevant English ones.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Mccapra}}. Remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

You are seriously making a mess with your use of Japanese characters in English Wikipedia. 人吉藩 isn’t the Kamogata Domain, and neither is 鴨形藩. If you can’t read Japanese please stop inserting random characters - just leave the Japanese name out. This is disruptive editing and it does not serve our readers well. Kamogata Domain moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Kamogata Domain, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Contrary to the claim in the creator’s edit summary, the sources in the article are not copied from ja.wiki. They are nonsense the creator has introduced that have nothing to do with the article topic. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Sandbox[edit]

It's not a problem, but I see that you're using your use page for drafting articles. You might want to consider using you sandbox, which is a little more private, and is a space where you can experiment away from the public gaze! See SANDBOX for more information.
