Your recent edits[edit]

Please review Wikipedia's talk page guidelines. Some of your recent posts are lengthly and so disjoint from the article that they look more like a post to a science-fiction forum than to Wikipedia. Michaelbusch (talk) 00:11, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Re: Your recent edits

I'm pretty new to edits on Wikipedia. You completely deleted all my contributions to the Kardashev scale talk page. I thought what I had to say was pertinent to the fictional nature of the discussions already present on the page. I want to present my thoughts in a manner that will be accepted in the Wikipedia community. Given the ideas I intended to present, how would you have handled the situation? Also, if there's a way to send private messages on Wikipedia, let me know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ExarPalantas (talkcontribs) 14:53, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Private messages may be sent by email (e.g. see the 'e-mail this user' link on the left-hand side of my userpage). Now, your thoughts are your own and you may say what you will, but talk pages are not general forums. They are for discussion of the articles subject. Unrelated threads should be removed with prejudice. Michaelbusch (talk) 18:30, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kardashev Scale[edit]

Hi, recently the Kardashev scale entry has gone through some major reverts, I'd like to talk about the reinstatement of the material. I've looked around and have seen that you've made some major contributions to the article and are interested in its progress. I feel we need to discuss the reverts and the reinstatement and talk about whether either are justified.Talk:Kardashev scale If you could help or add your 2¢ I'd really appreciate it. Thanks--Sparkygravity (talk) 07:22, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You contacted me a while ago, asking for any assistance I might render to the Kardashev Scale page, citing my previous interest in the subject. Thank you for this, and I'm sorry I neglected to respond. I had written at some length and on several topics in the Talk page, and made a minor contribution to the main page. Another user deleted all of my talk page contributions, and told me to go read Wikipedia guidelines. I sort of lost interest in the project after that. Does this sort of thing happen a lot on Wikipedia?--ExarPalantas (talk) 08:22, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
