it should have been "the First World Pyro Olympics" not the "world's first pyrotechnics competition, the World Pyro Olympics".............. it is not and has never been the world's first pyrotechnics competition (you can confirm it through internet search engines...)

Sources for Soft Tennis[edit]

Hello, good work on Soft Tennis, and thanks for the contribution. However, you forgot to add any references to the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. What websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to Soft Tennis? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? Thank you very much. - SimonP 05:47, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Your stub on the 2013 Southeast Asian Games states that they're scheduled for 2011. Either the article title is wrong (and should be "2011..." or the article is. Cheers Tonywalton  | Talk 17:25, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Aha. Thanks for fixing that :-) Tonywalton  | Talk 17:30, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ramos[edit]

Wow, that's a lot of work you did on Fidel Ramos. And from what I can see from a quick glance, it looks good. :) Just don't forget to cite sources when needed. By the way, Wikipedia:Tambayan Philippines is a notice board and discussion page to help centralize efforts in improving Philippine-related articles. You may find it helpful. Welcome again to Wikipedia! --Coffee 16:33, 11 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Ferdinand Marcos[edit]

It is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. -- SoothingR(pour) 07:25, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, thanks for uploading Image:Loren legarda.jpg. You tagged this image as public domain, but in the description you specified that the creator only allows non-commercial use of the image. I confirmed this by visiting the URL provided in the image description. Please note that public domain images are those which are not covered by copyright. In this case, the image is copyrighted but the creator allows use of it for non-commercial purposes. In addition, I'm afraid images which may not be used commercially are no longer allowed on Wikipedia (since May this year) and as such this image will shortly be deleted. Please could you ensure that any other images you've uploaded have the correct license tags. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. Thanks! Philipino Government Images[edit]

Hi there, just a note to say that there is a special tag for images owned by the Philipino Government: {{PD-PhilippinesGov}}. Please could you add this to such images rather than the generic {{PD}} tag. Thanks! David Johnson [T|C] 02:21, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Categories[edit]

Hiya... since "Senators of the Philippines" and "Presidents of the Philippines" are subcategories of "Politicians of the Philippines", it's not necessary to add all the articles on politicians to the "Politicians" category if they already belong to one of the subcategories. Coffee 14:20, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Redirects[edit]

On 09-Feb, you created a "soft" redirect from List of Shopping Malls in the Philippines to List of shopping malls in the Philippines. You should do a real redirect in cases like this. The instructions for how are at Wikipedia:Redirect. I've fixed this one, but if you need help in the future, let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 16:40, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:1991_sea_games.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:1991_sea_games.png. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 06:25, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Images from senate.gov.ph[edit]

Hi, Exec8. Please, avoid uploading any new images of living Philipine politicians from http://www.senate.gov.ph. This images are not free and fail our policy on unfree content usage. For living people, we should produce free images (see Wikipedia:Fair use#Counterexamples item #8).

The general rules is that we only use unfree images when it's not possible to replace them by free alternatives, like a movie's screenshot in the article about the movie or a picture of a historic event in an article about that event.

For now, I've tagged the following replaceable images for deletion. As the uploader, you can help by tagging them with {{db-author}} to speedup the process.

Let me know if you need any help. Best regards, --Abu Badali 15:35, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other image's problems[edit]

Also, in a number of images you had uploaded, you fail to properly cite a verifiable source. Without a verifiable source information, we can't, for instance, make sure the images is really released under a free license (like {{PD}}, that you used in most of these images).

Make sure to only upload images under free licenses, and provide links to backup the claim. Asking the copyright holder permission t o use an image on Wikipedia is not enough (read WP:COPYREQ for instructions on how to ask the copyright holder to release the image under a free license and document this in a verifiable way).

I have tagged the following images of your as having some problem. You may want to take a look at them:

If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Let's vote for Mariano Trias[edit]

Hey there Exec8! I would like to ask for your vote for the article of Mariano Trias in Wikipedia's Article Creation and Improvement Drive. It's nearing it's deadest line.

I believe that this article still needs a bit of clean-up and expansion. I hope you would vote for the article in this link as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot!!! ---- Kevin Ray 13:53, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tags[edit]

When you wish to dispute the replaceable free use tags that have been placed on your images, please use {{Replaceable fair use disputed}} instead of {{hangon}}. This is the more proper tag. Thanks, Metros232

Image:Marcelo_fernan.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Marcelo_fernan.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it, but use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. J Di talk 16:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
