Deletion Review: Pataphor[edit]

I hope you'll leave your opinion on the matter, if you think it should remain. Thanks, jchristie7

re: sock[edit]

Yes, unfortunately I have used sock puppets, although it happened slowly and I didn't mean it as an insult to anyone, but it was a mistake and I'm sorry. You're a good and true person, and I wish you well.

Aesthetics project[edit]

The reception seems luke warm for getting a bot to tag articles as part of these fields in philosophy. I think after people see the result they will be quite pleased. I am going to propose that we get a bot to tag articles for one task force just to see how it goes. I think the Aesthetics project is ready for this. I listed some categories whose articles all should be within the Aesthetics project there. I am going to forward a request to the bot in about a week unless there is an outcry against it. (Which I would not understand at all.)

I haven't announced this proposal on the WP:PHILO discussion yet. I wanted to give you a shot at commenting on it first since you are active in the project. I just want to move this forward. Any help would be appreciated. Gregbard 03:46, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Spinalcord trirev vexedlamina.svg[edit]

It's a beautiful image, but there's a typo: it's Rexed lamina, not "Vexed". --Arcadian 00:17, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for pointing this out to me, i changed it. It was already there in the picture from which i got all the labels. Which makes my being an amateur in neurology really obvious. Some things have to give.-- ExpImptalkcon 22:50, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added an image to the Bellhop article per your {{reqphoto}} request. -Gr0ff

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:ASEA logo modern.png}[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:ASEA logo modern.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Aeschylus[edit]

Hi, I found a mismatch between your Aeschylus quote and the quote that appears in your source (http://www.english.emory.edu/DRAMA/Aesch.html). The disputed word is "despair". Your source quotes "despite" in its stead. A google search for that quote shows more results for "despair" than for "despite". "Despite" could make more sense and the source of "despair" might be Kennedy's probable misquote in his speech (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCg05pTYt0A) after Martin Luther King Jr's death. You can actually hear him stuttering before saying "despair".

Interesting, huh!?

Best regards,

Bruno

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 01:03, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is not orphaned now. It is used in Multiplex (company). Hope that settles it.-- ExpImptalkcon 11:39, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it still is orphaned, the image used there is File:Brookfield multiplex logo.png (note the .png version and not the .gif version) Skier Dude (talk) 15:41, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
i added a speedy deletion tag.-- ExpImptalkcon 16:56, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
