Creating inappropriate pages[edit]

Thanks for contributing article Joydevpur-Bangabandhu shetu east Line. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Please help by adding sources to the article you edited (see here for how to do inline referencing). Also clarify how the article does not duplicate material already in the scope of Iswardi–Sirajganj line and Narayanganj–Bahadurabad Ghat line. It would be better to improve those articles and Tangail, if they are missing information, instead of creating new articles that do not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Thanks! P.S. Hi Fahimlinkon, If you plan to continue creating stubs for populated places in Bangladesh (and as an alternative, might I suggest improving the thousands that already exist, most of which are very poor articles), please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Places in Bangladesh). Mis-citing Banglapedia[edit]

Hi Fahimlinkon, please note that the Banglapedia article which is cited at Tangail District does not use the 2011 census data, it says "Source Bangladesh Population Census 2001, Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics." If you have a citation for the 2011 census results, then please add the citation, but do not (repeatedly) edit to claim Banglapedia says something that it does not. A proper citation for distinguishing cities from towns by whether their population is above or below 100,000 would be:

It's a large document, and out of date with respect to city corporations (subsequent to the 2011 census Comilla, Narayanganj, Rangpur, and Gazipur have become city corporations, and Dhaka was split into Dhaka North and Dhaka South) but it contains other information, especially in the table on page xi and in chapter 4, that would be useful as you update urban area articles. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Tangail District. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop deleting citations. The information may be a bit old, but if there is no published source available that gives more recent information, you are harming wikipedia by putting in unsourced statements, removing the citation that is present.
